If our tight arsed £300 Million chairman signed Hendrie and bought a GK in Jan we would be! ;)

As you say a hell of a lot of work to be done wouldn't be too bad if we had a proven experienced manager to guide them through it
Can't say too much about the new guys as not many on here will have seen them play Killa may have one decent season left and McGowan looked ok before his injury who knows how that has affected him Vincelot who wil probably captain the side shouldn't be seen in a City shirt again after last season
Which leaves a very blunt forward line (without Wyke) Robinson is pretty much an unknown qty to me he could either maintain his progress or totally implode (another injury from last season)
There is still time but what is desperately needed is experience to bring on the youth remember how Sir Bobby moulded the careers of McCall and Hendrie to name but two that's what is sadly lacking
Let's hope for all our sakes the man who "knows football" recognizes this and acts upon it or I fear we are in for a pretty dour season

Yes, and pretty much all we can say as yet.
I'm sure there'll be no shortage of ability when things are going well. But how will they cope in terms of confidence and mental strength when the chips are down, along with a few thousand 'William Wallace' types screaming from the stands?

Probably as well as the older, experienced players did when things went tits up last season.

I'm still not sure what happened last season.

It's too simplistic to call them bottlers, because their form didn't just dip, it absolutely imploded.

There has to be a cause for that, and it's not just a bad performance and loss at Yeovil in the cup.

Perhaps we'll have to wait for an autobiography before we really find out the truth.

    O'Donnell
    Riley McGowan O'Connor Killa Wood

As a back 5 that's quite good tbh. Now to sort out the midfield....

Or maybe when the Oxford players are warming up when they come to Valley Parade call McMahon over and ask him I'm sure he will be happy to tell you now he had no allegiance to the club.

Yep, 2 Joe Rileys. Both right backs, one with us, the other at Plymouth

The Shrewsbury Joe Riley was never at Man Utd. BBC got their wires crossed. It doesnt help both are right backs!

    Shrewsbury are falling apart BTW.

Hurst gone and about 4/5 players left and another big bunch have returned on loan. They will be a different outfit next season.

How can you say any club is failing apart when it's clear Bradford City is failing apart.

Let's not gloat at others when we have major problems ourselves and our squad is utter dog shi&e.

When all said and done Fordy, you may be right about our squad being shite. But let’s face it, none of us can say that with certainty just yet.

There are far too many unknowns in the squad, players that may be poor or they may prove to be astute signings.

So no, at this point (just as I disagree with the happy clappers), you can’t call the squad shite until we have actually seen them play

In what way are City falling apart Fordy? You might not like the changes that are happening but to say we are falling apart is as usual with you, a vast overreaction .
Secondly, in what way was Sergio gloating about Shrewsbury falling apart?

Yeah, at least Plymouth know what they are getting. We’re just happy to praise a kid who has never played at any decent level. But he was on Man Utd’s books, so he must be the dog’s doodahs, right.

    ;)

Who was gloating? I was pointing out some facts and backed it up with a bit of evidence. Considering they were in the hunt for promotion last season, and failed at the final hurdle I would predict the fact they have lost their manager and a number of players suggests they will not repeat.

I don't think Bradford have major problems either. We are financially sound and we are bringing in players. Looks like we are trying to build something.

Our squad is dog shite - feel free to offer some suggestions on players....I have asked you before.
