we are like 5th for agent fees spend so clearly buying players is expensive. if that was the case we should be able to rebuild the squad. to build a squad for 600k is nothing even for L2. pretty sure watters went from crawley to cardiff for £1m

I mean Crankshaw went for about 60k I don't think we are rebuilding with that money we might get a good player out of it but that's about it

source? im pretty sure its more than that.. has to be. you cant buy anyone in L1 for that amount of money. DA saying we have the cranky money for January would be such an empty statement.

if you take a look at the agent fees link, we paid out to agents £72,000 more than that what cranky was worth....

really its around 5%-10% for fees so in that period we spent 450,000-750,000 on players.

£300k? There is no way Bradford City are spending over quarter of a million pounds on a player. No chance. We’ll have got £50k max for Crankshaw and saved maybe £75k on his salary until the end of the season. Chuck in any extra money from pay on the day punters, and that will stop if they team don’t start winning, and we’ll have £150k at most for transfer fees, agent fees and wages.

Possibly also for existing players signing new deals and players who get sold or released from their contracts.

Why the point is there isn't any money at this level the only time anything like 250k+ gets spent is if a club higher up the pyramid wants a goalscorer from our division then you can see fees up to a million

But for defenders and midfielders no matter how tidy you aren't seeing six figures very often and if you're talking a conference club buying a surplus winger from a league two club I think you're way off

Nobody else is spending the money you're talking about and neither are we

As Tight 1-0 victory alludes to its probably more along the lines of 50 grand for Crankshaw from what I've heard and I can't imagine Vernam is much more.

How do you know what we sold Crankshaft for then ? Its never been reported. neither has what we paid for him, which I doubt was even half of a six figure fee.

I am amazed how many people on here know the in's and out's of the clubs finances.
Nobody knows my business finance ,other than myself, the accountant and my wife.
I am pretty certain city will have more money available for the January transfer window than some think.
An average of 2000 walk up's at £15 each is £30000 x 10 games is £300,000 less taxes , so probably cleared £200,000 The Crankshaw money and all the extra sponsorship deals , will boost that significantly. The squad is not massive , if you take out our on kids and we still have the full loan allocation to use.
We probably are in a fairly good position financially, lets hope Dereks scuoting mates can pull out some gems.

Crawley to Cardiff for a goal scorer is a million miles away from Wigan to Bradford City for a third choice winger, and even further away from Bradford to Stockport for a permanent benchwarmer.
