Mr Adams the hallowed manager who gets failing (small) under achieving clubs promoted on little or no budget needs to do as his mantra suggests and get us promoted without spending lots of money (which he won't get)
We were sold the dream end of last season it's now rapidly becoming a nightmare
Anyone think a new manager wouldn't get a tune out of the current squad needs to think back to last season

 

It was offered when the deal was initially put together, as we were in the second tier at the time it wasn't taken up and, according to that article, we went back with that suggestion to renegotiate but, as also stated in that article, there was no direct contact.

The way Rhodes engineered Gibb out of the club meant we were never going to be looked on favourably when it came to negotiation with them.

Parky situation was totally different at different times with different expectations.

Expectations the key word there.

Results are a symptom of a problem. Do you think these league 2 frees are worthy of winning L2? Or even the autos? Pretty sure you were whinging about our recruitment this summer but then now are whinging about the results. Cant whinge about both, one sort of leads to the other.

 

How did parky turn it around? How did evatt turn it around? You really expecting us to win 4 games this season?

 

The original deal had periodic reviews ( every 5 years i think), where the rental charge has increased,i believe its at least £8000 per week now £416,000 per year. That a sizeable amount for any lower league club. 4 players at £2000 per week each. Mr Gibbs pension fund may have help save the club back in the admin days, but boy we have payed it back many times over .

 

Is has been said officially that there is a rent review every five years and the increase is tied to one of the inflation rates. So it will have gone up a number of times since the original figure

Didn’t conveniently miss anything. If you look at the clubs he’s managed then apart from Posh then where has promotion been expected? Not even sure promotion for Peterborough was massively expected. League one is their level.
Some people really do have their knickers in a twist about Steve Evans don’t they when they quite clearly don’t know anything about him apart from the fact he’s had a few fines off the FA for abusive language. All happy with emotionless and blameless Mr Adams though. Weird.

 

Exactly my point Idle. It must be hard for Reece to feel he can make a break into first team when the manager sees him playing somewhere different than the position he feels is his best. Though I think Adams should be given more time to give us some success and upward movement, someone further along the line (Sparks) should give him chapter and verse about how important it is for us to up the game with our young guns coming through. Adams sure ain't a fan of bringing on young players - wants his teams to be 'fully formed' . I can understand that - all managers want and need success and the quickest route to it. But the club have to be more forward thinking. We can't sell on young players for the benefit of BCFC if we're not developing them properly.

Kudos to you! What a great comedy sum up...'this team are pants and Steve Evans can't turn them into trousers.

 

I don't think even Adams most ardent fans are happy with what's happening. And neither will he be. Something's got to change soon or everyone's screwed.

 

You still are not answering the question. How is going to turn it around?

He’s underperforming and isn’t improving any of the current players. Why should he trust him to spend money when he can’t gain results?

His style is boring and he’s a stubborn manager.

Only reason I am not going to town on him is because our owner is shocking and our CEO is a novice. I see bigger problems.

Based on results that a football manager is judged on then he needs to go.

 

Don’t forget his incident of flashing and his ban for involvement in financial mismanagement/fraud

 

And his 12 month suspended prison sentence.

 

How am I supposed to know? Have you got me mistaken for Derek? Thats his job to sort, i am giving him the benefit of the doubt to be able to do that! As a guess January recruitment needs to be good, just a tiny improvement across the board would get us up there.

 

Well , no one knows the answer to that. We might have gone bust and restarted or someone else might have come forward. What i do know is, he was a director of the club, that signed of on a deal because we were desperate , that the Flamingo land pension fund , will get over 300 % return on its £2.5 million investment and still hold all the cards once the 25 year deal finishes. Not bad in any body's world.

Sparks wanted promotion this season and still does. Adams 3 year contract was his lifeboat to accept but the target remains to go up this season.

Now Adams judged as a Bradford City manager is currently failing in every department barring making Sparks look a first degree mug.

So, I repeat instead of saying he has a 3 year contract(which means nothing in football by the way) how is he going to turning it around? And what makes you think he is suited to this football club?
