There isn't a manager on the planet that could forge an effective team out of these players. They are the result of a number of seasons of poor recruitment by people with very poor judgement. We got rid of several last summer but then signed equally hopeless players to replace them. No one knows the extent of Adams culpability, but I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, not least because of the ruthless way he got rid of Turnbull and his comments about knowing what was wrong with the club which he made some time after the summer window closed. He's getting blame now for not getting results but I really believe no one could. Giving players two year contracts and then changing manager makes the new man's job that much harder. If we are in this position this time next year all criticism of the manager will be justified, but I think people need to appreciate the enormous task he has and that there will be no quick fix.

 

Problem is, if we believe what Ryan says, Adams had the final say on all new signings at the start of this season and even some last season. So they're his players he needs to get a tune out of.

 

It has more mutations to the spike protein which is what helps the virus bind to our cells. The worry is the nature of these mutations. I'm afraid your theory is misinformed.

Ok. I get you. My view is you're being a bit generous. He had enough time to watch us on video and form some opinions. I know he said he'd give everyone a chance but he surely agreed to the signings and either was a bit laissez faire or over trusting or there were some errors.

maybe, but i am just tired of not having a manager at the club for more than a year. The last time this happened was 3 years ago. I am begging for some continuity. At this point my hopes for this season are that we get above 15th and keep our manager.

and plus you look at all the clubs doing well in league two all have had a manager who had had time to build his squad. We just need to patient.

 

Whilst I agree with most of your post
Mr Adams was brought in mainly because he is an expert on getting budget/underperforming teams promoted without splashing the cash, I firmly believe that is the biggest reason Mr Sparks went full pelt for him (and made no secret of it)
How many times did we hear he got Morecambe up small crowds no budget etc I was sick of hearing it at the time in L2 we were polar opposites to Morecambe
Mr Sparks also stated during an interview before he was appointed refering to him as the new manager has had full input into signings and releasing of players (before the play off final) sorry not savvy enough to post the link but it is on here
Considering the above giving him the benefit of the doubt is a little difficult
He has an enormous task to get us promoted in the next 5 years never mind this season good luck to him on that one
You and the vast majority will get your way Mr Sparks would lose so much face if he fired him there would be no coming back for him either.
I am all for consistency at the club but at the moment the only thing we do consistently is drop points
In fairness we have an owner who doesn't care and a very inexperienced CEO but he knew that before accepting the job

It took him 2 seasons to get Morecambe and Plymouth promoted.
