Question, why wasn't there cover on the bench for ROD?

Surely we have a youth keeper

That’s up there with the worst posts I’ve read on here.
Took a knee to the head at speed and you’re wishing injury on him.
Never mind the post, how vile to even think it!

He's not a great keeper but even I have to admit he could do nothing with either goal yesterday

My thoughts too Dave. Even if it's a 16 year old it's better than sticking Paudie in nets. Barton did exactly what I expected- get someone to kick o'donnell very very early and I suspect he would have taken a red card as the price for forcing od off

Not a big fan of ROD, but I thought he had a good game yesterday, came off his line was decisive and brave when he took the knock to his head. Paudie should have been apologising for the terrible pass that caused the injury

Truthfully, it crossed my mind. Put yourself in Bartons shoes, at what cost do you try to earn 3 points?

Crikey. Can we not make an emergency signing to cover for Hornbys absence?

He was poor for the second goal and was partly at blame, For crosses you either come and claim them or stay on your line, You do not come off your line and stay in no mans land which leaves a huge gap behind you to aim for, Poor keeping

Although some sat in a better position to make the call said not, but from my seat the challenge looked a red.
Maybe if it hadn't been so early in the game it might have been, as you say it looked like ROD had been caught by Saunders knee.

Their forward was in acres of space.
If O’Donnell hadn’t have moved an inch and their lad took a touch instead of the first time header he’d be getting hung as well for giving him a free strike on goal.
It was appalling that he had so much time and space and then to be fair, great header which probably caught everyone by surprise

Not sure he was on him, Songo was certainly in the box with Pitman, maybe if Songo had made more of a challenge for the cross Pitman may not have been able to pick his spot in the top corner.

    More than you it seems,
Watch it again, Why was he so far off his line for a cross so far out, He should be guarding his line in case the forward won the header, once he won it and was on target it was going to be a goal because it had been left unguarded

Close enough that he didn’t have time to control it before taking a shot

No, need to be so far off his line.

    We need better than ROD:

The picture is above. Its a perfectly good starting position for a keeper in that kind of situation.

I'm really not sure why you're trying to make out a couple of yards is ROD going awol.

Or the ability to take more than one of the countless opportunities in the first half?

We've absolutely battered them and missed chance after chance yet somehow the keeper is getting the blame after letting in a free header from 6 yards and a lucky looping effort that he wouldn't be able to repeat if he tried it another 100 times? Simply bizarre.
