Us not taking our chances comes as no surprise to me.

Suppose this is the issue now. Looking at other areas to blame because we all know the forwards are poor,

 

He didn't need to try and control the ball, food & drink to a good header of a ball like Brett Pitman, possibly seeing ROD was well of his line helped.

 

Yes, I know what happened. I was replying to a comment that if ROD had been on his line more then Pitman had time to take it down, control it and shoot. I don’t think that was possible due to the close proximity of our defender

 

Very true we missed chance after chance and when we don't get the result we should have fans look for a scapegoat.

 

I'm not going to blame ROD we had enough "chances" in the first half to win two games of football.

No need to bash od for either. The first was a bullet header no one would stop and the second an excellent piece of finishing by a very experienced striker who has played at a higher level and scored one in three virtually everywhere he has bern

 

What a strange reply, if your claiming ROD lost us 2 points that's absolute nonsense, the first and second goals was poor defending, even if ROD was off his line Pitman shouldn't have had a free header at least put a challenge in which Songo didn't.

And where did I mention him losing us two points? He didn’t perform and neither did the forwards. This thread is about him so therefore discussing him.
As for going or basing on a video clip, neither. I watched the full match but couldn’t attend due to looking after a poorly Mrs and child.

 

Yes food and drink Pitman saw ROD off his line and directed the ball into the far corner a quality header, his heading ability has been his trade mark most of his career as a striker, I'm sure you recognised that.
Adams comment with regards Pitman's header, "they get a cross in the box and Pitman does what Pitman does heads the ball into the back of the net, he can't run but he can take a ball and head a ball, that's how bigger threat he is for Bristol Rovers"

As well as bringing Scales on with fresh legs Adams should have realised the danger late on in the game seeing Bristol were looking for Pitman and subbed Songo (who had played well) but brought Canavan on to deal with Pitman's aerial threat.

 

Funny thing was that was the only thing he did the entire time he was on. Looked like a player who's played on too long.

I’d not seen the replay (still haven’t) but recalled him being in acres of space.
That still that someone posted on here, tho, suggests not!
That said, O’Donnell isn’t exactly going walkabout.
Room for improvement yes, priority? Most definitely not - the bigger problems are definitely at the other end and on the bench

 

I was amazed to find he is only 33. I thought he was nearer 40.
