Because Rahic has been clear from day1 that he wants to bring in players, develop them and sell them on for a profit. As he’s in the last 12mths of his contract, and no sign yet of him signing another, Rahic would be stupid not to sell him.

 

He isn't going to sign a new contract(can't blame him) and has 12 mouths left.

So, we would be foolish not to sell him.

The Reeves comment is about as accurate as you're likely to find.

The fact you feel you need to defend everything claret and Amber doesn't change the fact that he was largely shite and barring injuries he still didn't get picked.

Premier league clubs as a rule don't buy players from the lower leagues, its too big a risk to take. They usually go to the division above like Wells did when he moved to Huddersfield. Hence when we look for value for money our best bet is to look in league 2 and below. Look at Jack Marriott at Peterborough ( i seem to mention them a lot0. Leading scorer in the division and plenty of interest from other clubs. But all those clubs are championship clubs looking for that elusive goal scorer. The premiership clubs are looking for the ready made article and have the TV money to fund it. They cannot afford to blood potential, the financial rewards on offer dictate that. Thats why they loan out their youngsters to the championship and league 1.

 

Throw in Abbott ; Mikey C & Marty D as "ring masters" and its clear we "screwed" bottom four squad without any question !
