I’d like someone to ask Adam’s in the post match interview what is he missing from those he has on the bench vs the starting XI and what did he see was working so well that he needed to wait till 80th minute for a sub??

from what I’ve watched via ifollow today he’s got it wrong.

We've obviously lured Adams back to League 2 on the basis of convincing him we're ambitious and have a long term plan to get this club back to the Championship. Then we've given him the likes of Theo Robinson. You don't win promotion from this league if your hopes to nick a winner reside on the likes Robinson and Lavery.

No wonder he sounds pissed off whenever he speaks to the media. Although - making attacking subs with 5 mins on the clock is piss poor too.

 

I’m not convinced at all at the moment. I can’t see that we are any different under Adams than we were under Trueman and Sellars.

 

Well if I was the Club Doctor I wouldn't have ordered this. Frustrating in our lack progress performance wise to say the least.

 

I thought we ran around very well in those last minutes. Loads of chances created, and if we play like that, we'll win more games than we'll lose.

The above was for the happy clappers. We drew. And we were overrun in the first 20 mins. Had a few spells, and deserved the goal, but as usual we took our foot off the gas until the traditional last five minute panic. Other than that, nothing creative and seems we're carrying a few more passengers each game. Gillead poor. Cook now his game has been found out, is anonymous.

Boos deserved today - for the manager and the players.

 

Poor much better second half but that first 30 minutes has cost us and we just don’t look like we have the goals in us the regularly out score opposition so we need to cut out slow starts and cheap goals.

Possibly but take a number of Morecambe players last season - they weren't world beaters.

So while you may be right to question IF some of the subs are good enough, they also need to play more than 7 or 8 minutes to make a difference!

 

One word. a big one. QUALITY. We lack it in really important areas.Every long range shot will mostly always go in agents us and we cant hit that bit between the posts..... QUALITY

 

If we’re honest it’s not a quick fix and bringing in Adams and giving him players who’ve mainly come from clubs who ended below us or were already at this failing club wasn’t going to suddenly make us into a promotion fighting team, although I’m sure that was Sparks and Rupps plan well he did it at Morecambe why not etc…

The club has regressed for a long time now it’s going to take a change at the top and time to fix. I’m at the point in my life now where there are more important things than football so I don’t let it wind me up anymore thankfully because it’s a long road ahead.

It is but it’s not really how football works as they’re still trying to win as well, we need to cut out gifting teams goals and be far harder to beat because with these players we won’t be a free scoring team.

 

All on you that Adam’s I’m afraid. Outside of Vernam and Cook where are your goals coming from? You play two wide men and one CF - regular runs into the box result in little as there’s often Cook on his own in there.
Two front men and Crankshaw on the bench, what are you expecting from 10min cameos? If they’re not match fit give them more minutes or address it via training. Robinson put himself about when he came on but barely had anytime to get into the game.

Watt looks off form - Songo’o was a leader for you at previous clubs, why’s he barely played since coming back?

As commentators said, we didnt press. Why is Sutton not getting a look in? The only CM we have who resembles a box-to-box.

Let’s be straight, we should have had more today but the goal we did score I’d be furious if that was against us. The defender lets Vernam go and if he’d followed him that’s not a goal.

Disappointing result and performance for me, from the manager and a few of the players.

 

Let’s not forget either that this was a depleted Barrow team today.

 

Time to face up to the fact that we're just not very good. We won't be going up without serious investment in Jan - and that's not happening.
