    Well no but that’s because we have more season tick holders due to low prices.
    Salford are a newly promoted club to the league with very small fanbase

    Probably a couple of reasons it doesn't happen much is two fold. One it pisses of your own fans and loses you good faith from them worth probably more than the extra income, and two trouble usually happens so police would probably insist on more stewards and police thus reducing the profit from doing it

    If it was all about crowd size you wouldn't even be discussing this with a Salford fan.

    Unfortunately, the higher you go the less of a factor numbers through the turnstiles are.

    I went over on the train that day. Got chased out of the station, pretty much all the way to the ground and a bit of safety in numbers.

    Getting back home was even worse.

    Salford football club is actually in Salford, just a part of it away from the main A6. Confusingly it has a Manchester postcode. Rochdale is in Rochdale, but has an Oldham post code. Manchester United, is not in Manchester and that is a fact!

    Why... What do you think the Salford millionaires need more... Money or giving a 'potential' advantage to the away team?

    I know what I would do in Salfords position and that's exactly what we got.

    The reason it doesn't happen as much now is we are in the basement league and there is no call for it.
    If Sunderland were in our league, we were mid table and they were near the top, they would do it without question.

    And they still do it for cup games even though we don’t need to. Ie. Reading, Sunderland, Arsenal, Leeds, Villa.

    That's because we have a small-time mentality.

    It's ridiculous to hand over home areas to get more away fans in - the only justification would be if a club is desperate for the extra income.
