Well done to all those that travelled yesterday-credit to you all.

My positive to take was that we did create quite a few opportunities and we can only get better as a team in making those decisions quicker. It seems the number 10 slot has been left to fill before the window closes-hopefully its someone with a decent pedigree.

 

@Fordy117 is a great advert for new posters!! His prattling’s sometimes make no sense, but embrace him for what he is........
A premier league WUM, the other WUMs on here are tedious in comparison, they can’t hold a candle to @Fordy117, so for all those who moan about him or tell him to support someone else, be careful what you wish for, the site would be a much duller place without him!

He twists the fact that a few people bet on us( like every other team’s fans in the league)to mean we will walk the league.
We finally have a bit of structure and positivity about the club after a pretty shitty 18 months for everybody and it doesn’t fit his mantra of “we are shite”
A bit sad really but hey ho.Each to their own.

 

I'll smile when we are out of this dreadful league and the club starts to make real statements off the pitch.

Just seen the sky highlights and it’s like a totally different game.
Sky showed the early Cook miss and the decent save from Cooke and their goal line miss right at the end.
Quest showed neither of these.
Very strange as the quest highlights are normally the ones I favour.
Can’t remember two sets of highlights ever being so different.

 

There's a mentality about winners and the way fans think about results. You sum yesterday's game up well and the mentality can be gauged two ways. You can look at as a point gained against what apparently is a decent side. Or you can say it was 2 points dropped against a team with 6 newcomers who have lost their best player last week. I hope Adams sees it as two points dropped because in my opinion is that's what it was. Exeter were there for the taking at times in that game, we didn't have the quality in the team to take advantage. Put it this way, the team that wins more of those games like yesterday than draws them will get promoted.

 

We also had plenty of newcomers in the side until we are well into the season and we see what teams are doing what we have no idea whether it was a point gained or two lost. What I do know it’s never an easy place to go and win

Spot on mate, I actually think our squad looks quite solid but we definitely need to bring in someone to back up Cook with goals. Lee Angol looks like a threat to teams and the thing I like about him is he gets close to Cook when the ball is played into Cook but having said Angol doesn't look like he has got many goals in him.
In Eisa, Gillead, Vernan and Crankshaw we have players who will run at defenders and create spaces and chances but we need more goal threat to back up Andy Cook.

 

So we need more quality then?

 

Tranmere - Spearing, McManaman, Glaztel

Salford - Henderson, Morris

Swindon -Payne, Grant.

Who we counting on Cook and Cooke?

Sorry but unless Rupp and Sparks get that cheque book out some of your are going to be disappointed. We lack QUALITY!

Correct Park, last time we won there was April 1993. In the 5 games we've played there since then including yesterday, we've lost 3 times and drawn twice.

 

Partly right again Fordy but as usual over the top. Another goalscorer and Songo'o back in midfield (and staying fit) and we won't be far off.
The friendlies were helpful, even if you don't think so but this squad needs the intensity of meaningful games under their belt. Yesterday was disappointing but still a point, and whatever Adams says in public he will be telling the players he expects more and better.

 

Henderson and Morris aren't good enough mate, Salford only drew yesterday, same as us.

 

Some need to remember we're in division 4 where quality is hard to find unless you throw a massive wage their way.
