I'd just like to say a big thank you to the posters that have had a bit of a meltdown this week, as it has kept me thoroughly entertained whilst waiting for the official announcement.

 

Clearly Adams has been “head hunted” by the club. Was this Sparks in action or Turnbull or a combo of both.
If and when he does sign , it’s clear in my mind he will have been given, certain club commitments for example player transfer budgets and wages to back up those signings etc.

One thing is for certain, this is certainly, as Sparks said during the interview a major “investment” by Rupp and the club. Can’t knock it in my book.

Hope some of the terminal grumpys (dont mean you CaptGrumps) on here are a bit more chilled today - perhaps also a chance to acknowledge RS stance on what he said the club was doing and that he has delivered. We have targeted a manager who was in work and who has had a lot of success at our level and persuaded him to join us - realistically it could not have happened any quicker so a bit of humility from the moaners would be good, but dont expect it.
Welcome to the new man - still not going to quote his name until it is officially announced, and expect a couple of new signings to follow very quickly

 

Tell you what, it'll be great to have a new direction to get behind and the optimism of adding a few new faces to refresh our optimism. Rather than hear about commitment from Sparks though, it would be better to hear of Rupp's intent from the man himself.
