I'm suprised 2 Championship clubs are interested he's hardly been a rock in our defence, but I'm sure they will have done their home work.

 

Paudie definitely has the potential to play Championship level, not many defenders that big are as good with the ball at their feet and he's a great 'stopper'. He got caught out a fair bit this season but he was left incredibly exposed at times by the players around him. Regards to positional play, he's only 23... that will come

 

That lack of pace will be exploited every week in the championship, he's not been a dominant force in league 2 never mind a league above. I've been wrong before but very rarely.

 

Will be a big loss he’s captain material for us, I think it’s a huge draw back having a keeper as a captain, how can a keeper organise us when we are in the other teams box trying to score for a set piece ?

It will be an interesting with regards a fresh start etc, not for one minute am I saying we shouldn't sell if its the right offer but I'd think many would be hoping
we'd be building a squad around the likes of Paudie.
I agree that he is Captain material and was a little surprised when T&S brought O'Donnell back and reinstated him as Captain, when Canavan partnered him early doors they looked a good pairing but once that bad run set in our defence looked as poor as every other area in the team.

 

I think that’s the moment they lost the dressing room, it’s obvious POC is a big influence and having a keeper as captain is just a waste!

If we're appointing Adams, Cooke may as well go. If only for the sake of his own career.

 

They should have kept OD as club captain apparently he has been good on the ambassadors role and is union rep. And kept Paudie as team captain

 

Becauae our best arent good enough. Evans has been shite, POC a bang average plodder and Cooke had about 5 good games last season. He isnt all that.

You really have got an undeserved downer on Adams haven’t you. I think you have a utopian dream of great football in the bottom league.
The reality is a mixture is needed to escape this league football on the ground if it’s possible good defensive play when needed long ball when required looking at his record he seems to have got it right most of the time

 

I hope we keep Paudie not good enough for the championship but could hold his own in league one and good enough to help us to promotion

 

If we continue to offload we’ll be virtually starting from scratch. All strangers trying to come together and bond on and off the pitch. We might end up with a Collins scenario if we’re not careful, where a bunch of strangers just never clicked.
