Anyone still believe James Mason left for a better job or left because Edin has finally shown that no matter what people within football say he's doing it his way and his way only.

Clever from edin. Get Abbott on the coaching staff so he can have more control over signings. So that's chairman, COO, head of football and now chief scout that edin thinks he is.

 

What makes you think he's been lieing? You seem to be stating it as fact.

 

Terry Dolan had an average playing career and little coaching experience (step up from youth manager). Chris Kamara had an average playing career and NO coaching experience at all. Jose Mourinho had NO playing career.

On the other side Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Nobby Stiles all had stellar playing careers and failed as managers. There are two sides to every coin.

I was apoplectic when BFG appointed Jewell as manager, to the point that I rang the club to check it wasn't a wind up.

This might just work. Then a again it might not. I'll be there for all home matches this season giving Collins my full support but if it doesn't work it will be Rahic who feels my wrath.

 

And many were saying it could be due to contractoral agreements with the new coach, so that one has firmly been put to bed.

This could be a monumental mistake or inspired decision, but let’s be honest anyone who thinks Edin feels these were the best candidates are living in cloud cookoo land! Didn’t he state he wanted someone who had a track record of bringing through youth? The guys only been coaching 2 minutes. I was planning on bringing my 4 (nearly 5) year old daughter to the odd game next season to see what she thought. I’ll definitely be leaving it a while before I do that as I think the place will be toxic if we lose the first few and wouldn’t want her subjected the that atmosphere.

 

Not having that, we had enough midgets in Stuart's team without appointing Fordy as manager.

 

Agreed. He won't be kicked out of the club if he fails - at least it shows Edin has faith in him.

How much would a manager like Grayson cost per year? There is potentially huge savings here that we can hope will be reinvested into the playing side.

Edin saying appointing a big name would be a gamble, yet appointing a 32yr old non league part time defender in his first full time coaching role isn't a gamble.
