Got to be honest I think any one on here could set a team up to stop us playing at the minute

Yep your right. The game plan against us is pretty simple and we just lack the confidence and guile to have a go back or change it up.

Yes I get all the above and would have loved to be able to say I believe T&S are the right men to take us forward, unfortunately after getting us safe (which was a great achievment in itself) they have shown nothing with regards taking us on performances wise or points gained.
I and many others have posted many of their decisions post safety have been a little baffling to say the least, last Tuesday night being a perfect example, 1 - 0 down strikers sat on the bench, nothing to lose all to gain we didn't see anything positive with regards trying to put Tranmere undercpresure by introducing more attack minded players.
Your correct with regards your comments that there are no guarantees with a new man, just as there are no guarentees with T&S being in charge, can we give them time to learn on the job whilst at Valley Parade or do we risk going for a manager out of work which suggests he has failed recently.
Its a big call for Ryan, would a guy like Welkens or Adams give fans that extra initiative to purchase a season ticket for next season against T&S still holding the reins.

Wellens has failed twice and Adams might be a league up. I am hoping Sparks has the balls to stick with T&S

As I say all about opinions, but at this present moment T&S are not filing me with positivity.

    Honestly, you make no sense.

Please back up why T & S should stay?

We all agree they did a decent job putting a run together which ensured safety but this 5 match losing streak had come at the worst possible time.
Fans were starting to see hope and look forward to buying season tickets for hopefully a promotion challenge next season but sadly now that’s all lost and season ticket sales will suffer badly if they are still in charge.
Fans will also want to see some activity in the transfer market which shows the ambition for the new season.
Sadly I don’t think either will happen. T&S will still be in charge and it’ll be July before we make any signings.

It was great indeed to see us picking up many back to back wins to pull away from the dreaded drop zone. But let's be honest, hardly any of these games were more than grinding it out, attritional, backs to the wall victories. Sure, it was needed at the time. But then once we passed that point where sheer endeavour got us away from the bottom, and then into the hunting pack, that's when we saw where we are actually at. Mid table, unable to seriously challenge for play offs, albeit having got ourselves to within 2-3 points of giving it a real shot at one time. I think M&S are really good, improving coaches, but I am not at all sure they are good enough and experienced enough as actual managers to take us into automatics next season. We need a manager/s who looks at the coming season as a whole, not tactics game by game. What's our plan for the whole season ahead. Who are the players that can help us achieve that?

The one advantage that T&S should bring to management at this level is the ability, skills and patience to develop promising talent. There are people on here calling for almost every player to be sacked in June, but what are you suggesting they are replaced with? Journeymen from other League two clubs? Youngsters on loan (can't remember many good ones since Cullen). Has been's on their way down from League 1? It's just calling for a constant churn of players and managers in the hope that something will stick, and the odds on that are not good. If T&S can have a summer looking at Watt, Crankshaw, FCD and the other youngsters on the fringes of the Team, they might be able to build something that is identifiably Bradford. Then you can look for seasoned players to fill the gaps. We have had more managers in two years than BoJo's had backhanders, and where has it got us? Somebody on here (no names needed) keeps going on about 'Identity'. Well you can't buy that - you have to build it. IMHO

I've no doubt Messrs Trueman and Sellars are thoroughly decent individuals, doing their level best to make a success of their roles. Unfortunately, currently, there is not one shred of evidence to suggest they can advance our club. It's got to the stage I can't bear to watch the absolute dross that's served up on the pitch. How anyone can watch that, listen to the "cloud cuckooland" post match comments and still think they are the future of this club, is beyond me.

Agree with all of your post Bronco. Once again, we head towards yet another pre-season betwixt and between, with a huge amount to do.

Park, I always appreciate your optimism on here. So what would you do? Leave T&S in sole charge - or bring in a director of football or similar to give them an experienced voice? In my opinion, if they stay they need someone who really knows Lg 2 and Lg1 football to advise them. The last seven or eight games, they've been naive and quickly 'found out'.

Whether or not we change the management team, the playing squad needs to be better quality.
Whilst there’s never any guarantees of promotion, bringing proven players in certainly will help.
Fans need to see that early in the process and not to be conned like last summer where 9000 season tickets were sold yet hardly any signings made.

Tis true. They both come over as really decent guys, but that doesn't get you automatic promotion. They've kept us up, and all credit to them for that. But I just don't think they have the nouse or the experience or the tactics to take us up. They've proven themselves to be really good youth team coaches and Sparks should have big important chats with them about returning there and producing more diamonds from the rough for us.

Have they? This is a serious question that I wonder if anyone knows the answer to.

From the limited amount of information available it seems they haven't been with us that long, so what is it that marks them out as really good coaches at that level? We have two or three players who look ok coming through, but have T&S had much input in their development?

I'm not saying they are no good, but what's the evidence to the contrary?

The other concern is that only a few weeks ago there was a lot of talk about implementing a style of play throughout the club, we've seen what T&S's preferred (only) approach is - is this how we want our young players to be developed?

According to family Sellars was working with the under 14's as recently as October last year, it really does seem like these two were just warm bodies who were about when McCall was sacked. Drury quite understandably for all parties was left in his Head of Development role, and there wasn't too much else in the building in the way of coaching staff.

I think their brief when appointed was getting us to safety something which I think has been under rated on here.but it’s not necessary the same as getting us out of the league that’s why they now need the time to get the players in to take the next step. All this talk of new managers as if that is going to guarantee promotion is a pipe dream as experience shows. Two matches in @Fordy117@Fordy117 will be straight on their back
