Im not sure both can run concurrently if im honest particularly as season ticket options , as i dont see how the club could police potential missuse.

I'll use you as an example, whats to say you dont fancy that cold night in december so decide to watch via your ifollow stream then what is stopping you passing your season ticket to someone else? Similarly you attend a game, but have a ifollow pass, then you could pass the stream details onto a mate.

Either scenario 2 people watch the game for the price of one.

 

There would be issues to work through, no doubt, and possibly it might be unworkable.

However, technology might be able to find a way through IP addresses and bar code readers on season tickets, or something similar - if the ticket is scanned at the ground then the stream associated to that ticket is automatically blocked. Don't know how realistic that is, but it's the first thing that came to my untechnical brain.

I have no doubt that those with enough technical knowhow could bypass something like this, but that will only be a small minority.

If season ticket demand exceeds the capacity that we end up with due to CV restrictions then there will be pressure to find some sort of solution. Not just for us - I presume clubs with bigger fan bases and potentially lower capacities will also have the same problem.

 

Personally I hope iFollow stays but as an extra charge on top of the season ticket. For the last couple of years I've paid to watch midweek games as I can't make them any more due to family commitments meaning that it's not practical to do the 80 mile each way drive. Also, this season I've been able to watch, and pay the club, for away games down south I would never have attended. It's a win-win in my book.

 

The aim is to offer at least one dose by the end of July for every adult so if they meet their target and they have met all the others so far yes

 

I hope the option remains for away games at a tenner, ok it might detract a few from going but I'm guessing those who regularly attend away games will still go.

Perhaps an option for the home games would be a combi-pass where the user gets a choice of whether to attend or get a streaming passes. No physical season ticket handed out however 7 days prior to each game the user has to decide whether they are going or would like the stream instead. If they chose to attend It's that person's responsibility to the collect their ticket on matchday or before

 

Will they chuff. 20% of the population are under 16 for a start and we don't have a vaccine approved for use in the under 16s.

Watch the news and see what's going on in India where they had 60;000 in for a cricket match last month.

This thing is far from over and we still need to be careful. The first jab rate is down to less than 150,000 a day and there are still 30 million to vaccinate. That will take another 200 days even with a childs vaccine available.

We also have 10% of the population refusing the vaccine. That's 5,000,000 adults (roughly the population of Ireland) who could still be spreading the virus around even when all other adults are vaccinated.

Its far from clear cut that we can walk into a stadium in August.

 

Our aim was promotion. That went well didnt it.

 

I hope the chance to watch I follow follow for away matches continues as well it is a great option but I can’t see other teams that depend on away followings from teams like ours voting for it

Every adult will have been offered the jab and that is enough coverage.

Yep and people who fail to accept the vaccine without a medical reason to do so should have to take a test at their own expense

 

I'll renew mine and my 2 sons, providing there is no price increase .
Its been a tough year for any family working in the hospitality industry .
Prices should be frozen to help out struggling family's our chairmen is rich enough to do this.
