Before it was boring it was frantic nonsense. We were winning, but we were wide open.

Who cares if it's so called boring anyway, all that matters is promotion. I don't care if we 1-0 our way to League One, we need to get there come hell or high water.

Having some high quality attacking wingers will transform this team with their tactics IMO.

It hasn't helped me one bit. Despite the general dire standard of football the past few seasons I still manage to get to a fair few away games with my lad and I cherish every one of them. It's been tough losing the connection I had with him through football and its worrying that I might never get it back. The people I sat around before, has the virus affected them? Will they still be going? I know of we ever get back there's at least one person who won't be there since I last went and there will probably be more.

That's a pretty glum assessment, I'm not going to lie.

Hopefully the vast majority (if not all) those we know and have spent so many years with made it through this pandemic and will be back at VP with the rest of us. We can but hope, mate.

I hope so. I'll be glad when football is finally back for the fans to watch. Crowds are increasing around the world so fingers crossed we're not that far away.

Each to their own I suppose look how season ticket sales have dropped these last few years people do find other things to do
I have plenty of other interests as well as Bradford City equally enjoyable
The "pandemic" has changed a lot of peoples lives and not going to VP will have forced people to find other interests
Like you I have invested a lot of time and money following our club and still will but am certain match days (particularly after watching the last few games on I follow) will be very different for a lot of fans
That's why it's essential this close season they need to get it right and revive fans interest or lose them for good

Maybe the opposite will happen Steve. Fans pining for matchday experience and live football again and turned off by watching the sterile way on ifollow may well snap up tickets.

Almost impossible to predict how people will react post pandemic
Maybe you are right they will return for the match day experience myself included the Saturday ritual (full English breakfast, various pubs pre and post match, good natured banter with opposition fans, a meal before returning home) is what I class as match day experience away days even better, the 90 odd minutes on the pitch is a different thing and judging by the last few matches on I follow has been pretty turgid to say the least (Bowyer ball at its best/worst) What the club do during the summer is crucial, yes I follow is sterile I noticed in a couple of your posts you haven't subscribed but given the choice of watching our performances of late in your own home or a freezing cold Valley Parade Tuesday night is not a difficult decision

Hope you are right. For a lot of people, the game is a part of match day. We meet friends in a pub and put the world to rights along with supporters of the day's opposition. Others will have their own rituals but over the years it has become an important way of life. We know Ryan and co are looking to improve the squad massively so I for one live in hope.

Health reasons stop me from going in really cold damp weather and there will be many people like me so ifollow is a good option.

But folk like us are already smitten, we are not Ryans targets, it's the waverers that he has to woo, sorry but my guess for ST sales this coming season even that I know i'll be shot down is 6,500...
We really have been that bad and anyway what happens first, ST sales or signings..?

No "shooting down" from me Tony I think that's a pretty fair estimate taking everything in to account
Signings/off the pitch progress have to happen first showing real intent in the transfer market is the only way to tempt the waverers
Bradford fans have and will always respond to a good team/performance that's what's desperately needed now otherwise your estimate may well be true

To be realistic I have no faith or trust in 90% of our current squad. I could not have any belief that they could improve next season. They have had their chance and let the Club and those who trusted in them down.No more Mr Nice Guy we need to be totally brutal and ruthless. Paramount on this roundabout at VP is to introduce some magic and there lies the BIG question..Can the Club deliver ? Honestly..they HAVE to.

Can't agree with that. We have some very good players for this level and 4/5 good additions will transform performances. A Gary Jones would make an immediate impact.

How do you come to that conclusion we got 9.000 when people knew there was a chance they wouldn’t see any live football.
Providing things are looking like returning to normal there will be a good take up. Sales always seem to exceed expectations on here which it certainly did this season under the circumstances

Not sure this is a given Park. However, good pre season activity will give inspiration and Ryan has indicated that they have been working on this for some time so whereas my glass isn't quite as full as yours, I am hopeful.

Because we had another shit season, uncertainty in an untried management team who after starting well have fallen off a cliff, boring style of football, plus last season we still had the benefit of part of the McCall bonus. Some will have renewed because he was manager rather than a pair they don’t know
