Just had a quick browse of Chesterfield's results, they lost 8 of their first 10 games this season (1 cup) - quite the turnaround if they somehow make the play offs.

 

Pity. But whatever wasn't working, best he moves on.

 

Be worth keeping an eye on Chesterfield in the next few games,
Some very tough opponents and what formation will they use to get the best out of Rowe?

City found it hard to find that formation, yet were quite happy to serve up zero attempts on target in the last game.
Have no idea why he would want to leave.

Lack of game time maybe? He knew he couldnt out play cook so off he went!

I would say it shows his character though, going gets tough he does one.

A fee fans of his ex clubs warned us he can be trouble.

 

I still find it strange that T&S weren't prepared to play Cook and Rowe together, even when we were chasing games. There's no doubt the lad could finish, given half a chance. Like most others, I ask myself "Why did we sign him?"

 

Players leaving after 3 months is just ridiculous

Like you, not too bothered. We've got some money back from what we paid out and we didn't find the best way to play him nor did he try to fit into the systems he played in. He played his way and that didn't seem to work. Best of luck Danny.

 

Let's just hope T&S and Sparks are next. Rupp needs to go.

Rowe was overrated, sorry.
He looked great initially and had quality on the ball but ever since he was dropped for ‘showing cold-like symptoms’ i’ve sensed all was not well.

For him to not even get a minute off the bench the last twice strongly hinted there had been a bust up and Trueman’s justifications for not bringing him on never convinced.

In summary, Rowe was a talented player but he was a maverick. He was slower then Bob Molenaar and wasn’t suited by 4-2-3-1.

I’m genuinely not bothered he’s gone. Cook is a much better team player tbh and I’d have Novak in over both of those anyway.

 

Not sure why Rowe is getting pelters for his attitude. There's no bust up, they just don't fancy him. Best decision all round is for him to go because it has been clear for a while he isn't in their plans. Not been whell dealt with though, i'm sure i read only today Trueman saying talks with Rowe had been positive. Yeah, that positive hes out the door the same day. Doesn't paint the recruitment team in a good light either, getting rid of a player after 3 months. Somethings at Bradford just never change.

 

We keep signing strikers but then we do not have a complimentary partner or a system that our existing players can play to accommodate them. Mmm so much for identifying players and signing them with research done - as we were informed.

No malice to the lad, i hope he has success elsewhere. That January transfer window looking less and less of a success.

 

I think Rowe was lower down on the target list initially but once those at the top spurned our advances we had to lower our sights.
