Danny Rowe - The New Charlie Wyke - now with poll

Didn't we fork out £50k for him? Even we wouldn't write that off so soon would we?

 

Are we a strikers grave yard . Novak and Cook, both have good goal returns for matches played.
Wells banged them in for fun and Wyke , Windass , Mills, Mcarthy, Campbell even big Jimmy Hanson got a few in his time here, although not as many as he should have scored.

 

Is he better than Chesterfield though. His career record suggests perhaps not.

I think we have been waiting for Novak to return to allow consideration of moving him on.

They were all god awful to start with though.

 

You could name good players and bad for every single position in the team , over the years we have had some shit and some far better for all positions. Colbeck - Beagrie. meredith- Lewis Emanuelle, Duke- Zabica. i could go on.

I bet Rowe ain't the only one pe'ed off with the way things are going down at VP..

 

I'm probably the only one on here who thought some time back this might happen. Going forward he just doesn't fit what they are trying to do and they ain't gonna build around him which is what he needs. To get the best out of him you'd have to drop Callum Cooke and he brings more to the table than Rowe does.

 

Maybe after our recent dire performances T&S need to change our style of play, it's hardly been convincing no matter how Mark tried to portray it in Tuesday night post match interview.

 

It's clear Rowe doesn't fit what they are trying to do. If he doesn't then get rid and bring players in who do.

 

Good luck to him. I'd probably want to leave if I was him too.

 

Odd, this.

I'm not too fussed though, he had a great start where he impressed everyone tonking it 40 yards - but he hasn't been consistent as a sole striker and he's not the attacking midfielder/number 10 that his long range shooting and good footwork suggested he might have been.

Like a few non league stars we've signed in this past, discipline and tactical understanding seem to be lacking.

Wandering all over the place might work out once every 50 times, but Cook has schooled him in the role and he's years younger. With Novak back, I get it.

But I don't understand how they're signing him, don't they have a transfer window?

Why should they be pe’ed of after three or four bad results after an amazing run of results

 

So Tuesday night he says he didn't get a game because we have enough forwards then says "he's shown a real intent to leave the football club" why not just not pick him in the match day squad, fans aren't stupid Mark.

 

Back where he belongs then in national league where he has spent all his career didn’t hold down a place at Oldham and couldn’t here. He has good natural ability but all the ability in the world is no good without a bit of effort to go with it.
