    Both him and Scales should keep their shirt after Saturday, to drop either would send out the wrong message imo.

    Just as it was to drop Hornby for one poor performance.

    I know we didn’t get to see a lot of Foulds but he showed some neat touches. Could T & S be looking to give him more game time, maybe at left back?

    Hornby wasn’t dropped because of the Carlisle loss, it will have been ROD whining and moaning at the managers.

    Regardless the point stands a player shouldn’t be dropped for one performance, they’re human they’ll make mistakes. All it does is create a nervous culture if a mistake can get you dropped instead of encouraging the players to go out and express themselves.

    I absolutely agree 100%. The amount of mistakes ROD made that cost us points when Stuart was here yet he kept his place.
    Hornby should have kept his place in the side

    Without doubt. He gave us a level of attacking midfield control that we've been missing since Cooke got injured.

    I like Sutton. He's improved dramatically as the season has unfolded. I think Watt is a player with a lot of ability and could easily see him being comfortable in Lg 1. However, at Lg 2 level he gets bullied too easily.
    Playing Clayts as a No 10 made real use of his experience - his link up work was really good, two assists and some important contributions throughout. For me, I'd be happy to have there for FRG with Cook to start.

    Yes they were. But what I though was particularly impressive was the way he held the ball, turned and linked play. For the first time in weeks we had an outlet ball for the defenders to play without hoofing it long. At last we had some continuity going forward which was down to Donaldinho.

    Tricky to do that. Cook is doing the biz as target man, so you'd have to play him wide right or left in a 4231. That wouldn't work because he wouldn't track back and would leave his fullback isolated. I don't see T&S abandoning their beloved 4231 just to accommodate Rowe.

    It is tricky. If the subs are the same as Saturday then it’s a waste playing Rowe at all unless Donaldson moves up front and Rowe drops in behind.
