    So we condemn him for the next 50 years? He himself has paid a price, Time to show a little humanity and let him move on from a minor indiscretion and repay society, After all I would not be surprised if the girl has made a few bob from selling her story and has moved on herself

    Don't disagree with that all but he's [aid the price and served his punishment. I believe in someone (who is a single offender) having the right to a second chance. Now if he'd done it twice I would have a different opinion.

    They seem to like him at Torquay "He won the club's Player of the Year award 2019/20 and was described as "a great asset to the squad" by manager Gary Johnson", 24 years old maybe the kid has improved since we let him go, it sometimes happens with kids of that age.

    Could he be the one that @borderlescott@borderlescott is taking about ? Scoring goals, club doing well, scored goals in L2 for Port Vale, local lad whose family he might know ? Young and on the up ? All that doesn't fit is he's not an out and out striker

    I don't think we need the last sentence but as a society we punish people but we also rehabilitate and accept people back into society if they accept fault, show genuine remorse and have changed.

    Why do we always rake up a players past.
    I'm only interested in if they can play football the baggage should be dealt with by the appropriate people.
    We sign players to play football if they break rules while employed then they should be dealt with .
    This guy has not put pen to paper and already the mob are rampaging down VP with torches and pitchforks.

    He doesnt accept the conviction. He blamed his legal team for advising him to plead guilty.
