    Not played much football I agree but if fit he is a very good player for this level. Only 31 and been training with Scunny since early November I think. They seem to have taken time to assess him

    If the opportunity presented itself and it was a chance to move on Guthrie, I would take it. That was my point in a like for like comparison. One is very average, the other horrific. Pope would be an improvement imo. Only slight though.


    That said I dont think we should sign Pope. Unless it is Nick.

    3 signings for Stevenage done today and one from Colchester, their main striker. Not many goals but they seem unhappy he went

    Pope looked massively overweight here the other week. Would be surprised if we were even considering him. Not the sort of player we need!

    I had a thought about the goalscorer that was hinted in previous posts. Scott Twine went back to Swindon today, however apparently Newport are wanting to make a bid. I wonder if this was the striker that the previous poster wouldn't reveal.

    Both strikers would be a bit "meh" if we signed them, but Chris Lines is a strong midfield player a little in the Gary Jones mould even if he is in the twilight he's decent signing.

    I remember another left back who we said we would discuss his new contract around Christmas time, he left on a free to our Wembley Play Off rivals, you have to wonder if our new set up have learnt from the past.
