I would say a far younger prospect than Donaldson if Novak gets injured.
Big unit and very mobile according to Crewe fans.

 

Considering Novak and Donaldson are staying put, I'd much like an alternative type of striker. Three of the same types of striker is a reason we've struggled to score all season.

 

It's not worked out for him at Crewe but their manager was very complementary when he signed for them.
With a good scoring ratio last season that saw him rank eighth in League One in terms of goals to minutes played, Zanzala arrives with plenty to offer.

And Artell hopes that he’ll continue to flourish next season at the Alexandra Stadium.

“He’s got League One experience, a good age and fits the profile for us.

“I think he was eighth in minutes per goals in League One last year and that is a terrific stat. That’ll do for us, we’re not usually in the market for those kind of strikers.




“He’s a good kid, he’s got a good attitude and hopefully he’ll hit the ground running and fit in really well.

“We have been really impressed with him as a person and a player and hopefully that will bear fruit.”

We are looking for good characters aren't we? this guy appears to tick boxes.

We have enough non scoring forwards without signing zanzala. Would hate to write him off before kicking a ball if we do sign him, but can’t see him offering and more than samuels.

 

Upgrade Donaldson now and filter him out. Let’s not wait until the summer

 

Mcburnie has scored 7 in 65 games with ONE assist..could be moved on, maybe a little something would come our way.Just thinking!

 

The thing is at 24 year old Zanzala would most certainly be a good replacement for Donaldson who surely will retire in the summer.
If we are looking to sign players for next season it would be a shrewd free agent signing.
Plenty of time to settle in so to speak.
Just my thoughts on the subject, don't know if we are interested now McCall as left the building.
