Ryan Sparks

No I'm asking you, you're the one who clearly knows more than anyone else on the career of Ryan Sparks. Been very close does not constitute an interview, something he will be undertaking shortly. He may be good at it, but he hasn't interviewed a candidate for a job as a football league manager. Certainly not as a CEO.

 

I guess being told to setup the press conference, or send a press release and a tweet out is close in a way.

 

As you well know, you mischievous little imp, I was quoting Ryan from yesterdays interview. I have met Ryan as many times as you have and know as much as you do about his previous work.

I am prepared to let him get on and do his job without getting all hung up about it.

As always let's see what happens in the coming few days and then Ryan is entitled to be scrutinised but after hearing his vision for the club and what he wants behind the scenes he clearly is going to do anything he can to get this club back to some sort of professional standing. At least that is what he wants.

 

It’s definitely a time for fine actions over fine words, but I seem to be relatively alone in not being that impressed by it. He seemed a bit to eager to please, dropping a bit too many buzzwords and certainly didn’t come across to me as having the same gravitas that most of the MDs I have worked with have. I’d like to be a fly on the wall at a meeting between him and a wily old dog like Big Sam, Nigel Adkins or Russell Slade.

 

I'm going to give Sparks the benefit to see if
he has what it takes. Many people in life take
on positions that appear over their heads. How
about the very first job any of us took on? We
weren't qualified we had to prove what we could do.

One aspect of his job I am worried about is he fancies
being a scout and starts signing players he thinks will
be good for us. He does need to appoint a good manager
and that comes down to him being able to assess a
CV and ask the right questions. He may come good, he
may not. Some argue we can't risk it but anyone we
appoint is a risk. Good luck Ryan I hope you do well.

 

Your obsession is going to affect your mental health soon

 

Certainly seems like an obsession. A large Ryan Sparks shaped one. Take a break for your own good before you have an anuerism.

 

It has certainly affected his CAPS LOCK, thats for sure.

 

You must be female with the amount of selective hearing loss you have.

Anyway he outlined his plan for off and on the field on last nights call. Its worth a listen again if you have the time as you seem to have missed the BITS YOU ARE SHOUTING ABOUT.

 

He told you what HE WANTED TO DO AND WHAT CHANGES HE WILL MAKE

I would prefer he sorted the on field improvements first.

 

Judging by what he says the training ground is bottom of his priority list and rightly so

 

Think you've missed the point.............by making the correct call with regards our next manager that will be the biggest call he makes with regards on field improvements.
