I think what fordys getting at is we've heard some variation of what ryan said from various people over the past few years, so good words aren't really enough anymore and we need to see it backed up with good action.Ryan actually mentions this in the interview so I'm sure he will understand people not falling over themselves to back him unreservedly.

 

Well congratulations for being able to decipher any of @Fordy117 's posts.

As for the rest of your post I agree actions speak louder than words yet even at this embryonic stage of his tenure as a CEO he is already being writing off due to a perceived lack of ability/experience.

Edit: And I don't back him unreservedly . He has to account for his actions but I am happy to allow him the time to make a difference.

Jamie was specific with that question asking if it was a manager or coach, Ryan distinctly said the new man will be a manager, maybe Ryan's need to learn the game.

I actually think he does make some good points from time to time but just words them in his inimitable style haha, wouldnt be fordy if he didnt

I think looking at the situation objectively, if my new CEO at work (when I had a job) was a 29 year old who used to be the comms guy, this guy would have to go out of his way to prove to me he can do the job, so I dont think encountering immediate hostility to his appointment is unfair at all. it's on him to go out and prove everyone wrong.

 

If Sparks was to say we are building a 20m training facility fordy would complain that the grass isn't correct and that the money should have been spent on the squad. I think it's down to him only having a bucket and sponge to play with where Ryan has a football club.

 

I think this is where what hes getting at gets lost in how he words his posts. ultimately the club needs to have more ambition, want more and generally be more proactive, but because he words it like a nutter it just sounds like he's moaning all the time haha

 

How I see it is rupp needs to back Sparks and take more of an intrest in the day to day running of the club. The next manager needs to tell Sparks what is required in the January window and who needs to go. (if only carlsberg did football clubs)

 

I agree, if he doesnt want to be hands on at the very least he can make himself more visible than we see now. whether he gives a shit or not it will cost him more money not making a bit of effort to do so. For me we need to move a little bit away from the manager 100% rules the roost model. Constantly revamping half complete squads is shagging us financially so we need some continuity of approach for when the manager inevitably changes.Paying a DOF and having a longer term view like this for me will actually save the club money and help us retain better players for a longer period of time. I think a committee style approach is whats needed, funnily enough a bit like we had when Edin was here but with different people doing different roles than that set up. collaborative and with multiple viewpoints from people who aren't mentalists or incompetent. Lockdowns given me a lot of time to think about this haha

 

Sparks has been in the job 5 minutes. FFS give him a chance. If we keep sacking everyone theres nobody left. Agree Rupp is asleep at the wheel and he needs to move on. Doesn’t mean to say what comes in will be any better though.

 

The only person I can see that anyone wants to sack is Stefan Rupp.

And maybe Ben Richards Everton.
