Yes that was the fixture that had the FL getting involved, Avenue playing and we didnt.

Just pointing out they had little choice once the FA got involved, or they wouldn't have done it, I think you're kidding yourself @Captain Grumpy if you believe otherwise, these guys won't spend money unless it gives a possible return.

We had to improve the pitch otherwise we’d have faced penalties from the fa/efl, that’s true.

But they could have chosen to do it cheap and bodged a cheap relay and left the pipework and seen how long it lasted. Much like lawn and Rhodes did. But they haven’t. They have got a first class company in and look to have fixed it good and proper this time. Time will tell of course. We had great updates and it looks very promising.

I don’t think they are perfect but come on, we need to stop this bash them for everything and anything when they have done a good job.

 

I was always hopeful he would take the position permanently, but opting for a 3 month contract allowed him to see things the way they really were inside the club. Coming off the back of the Sunderland farce, guess he feared yet another "hiding to nothing". Heckingbottom probably felt the same after his leeds kicking. Hence his need to go lie down in a dark room for a while.

What’s a spoof, just saying what I feel like anyone else on here fully respect everyone’s view. I just want the club to be successful and I think the chairmen do aswell otherwise why buy the club in the first place

 

Agreed, and surely they would have had a plan"B" but as they say, the best laid plans etc.

 

Stop being so touchy, of course it's true thats why I posted it they wouldnt have done it as there choice, they implied as much at the 25 year forum with the hypothetical £1m gift question.
They would have know the pitch and stadium was their responcability when they did due diligence, these guys are suscesful businessmen well one is not sure of Edin they should have know what they were buying into.
