    Covid was increasing in Russia up to a couple of weeks ago. Since then, it's levelled off despite increasing testing so underying prevalence might actually be falling now, even with some fans at football.

    I'm not sure we can believe anything coming out of countries like Russia, North Korea, etc what happend to the vaccine they said they had several weeks ago.

    America, the home of the Trump rallies? I won’t be taking any store of what is proposed there. I know of two who have died recently. Both in early 50s. Personally, some things are more important than going to VP (more things than used to be following start of this season). I don’t go with personal choice - asymptotic spreading occurs. We may all want Covid to go away, but it’s going to take the work of all of us.

    Who really knows but football has a plethora of protocols in place to protect those involved and those may be sufficient for it to go ahead.

    On the other hand, if pubs and restaurants are to close, I'd restrict those attending the games to playing, coaching, medical and safety staff to minimise the risk of spreading the virus further.

    I suspect the national lockdown wont be national at all, the whole of the north has been tee'd up tp teir3 and those are the areas that will be locked down.
