You probably are not far wrong Onside but dont you see what a damning statement you have made unintentionally - Guthrie has been diabolical and if you are lumping the rest with him then thats over half the team that have been dreadful - so how can you then put a positive spin on things! The minute we accept this as the standard then we might as well all give up

 

Honestly think we'll be amongst the lowest scorers in the league this year, if not the lowest. This forward line is appaling and has no quality whatsoever. How many clubs in this division would swap what they have for Guthrie, Novak, Donaldson, Clarke or DMH? I'd wager one or two at a push.

Two poor home defeats, both as a result of the wrong formation, will he learn?

 

WTF does Kenny Black do exactly? Surely he should be opposing Stuart's tactical disasters and going with the strongest formation we can put out.

 

I agree. People are also thinking im defending Guthrie. I'm not. I think he's rubbish,but I think most of our team is rubbish but weirdly we always turn on one player.
Guthrie is bad but he's on par with the likes of Cooke, who seems to be getting a free ride becasue he didn't come from Stevenage.
I've spoken about the fans needing a scapegoat for a few years now as it happens constantly. Feel free to bash Guthrie but you also need to bash the other 5-6 under performers.

I wish he'd stuck with the 3-5-2 he started with in the first few ganes this season. At least it has some structure. The players need structure to perform to their best. At the moment they don't know it they're playing or not and if they're playing then where should they be on the pitch.

It's the managers fault at the moment. Just needs to keep it simple.

Its tough to take I agree - as I said in midweek we have a number of players who sadly just dont look up to it which means we are always up against it, but this constant tinkering just doesnt help.
This is only putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 but knowing a new man is coming in at the top as soon as possible, could noises about what else might change be reaching the management team. They must know what we have isnt good enough but 1) were some funds being saved perhaps for a new boss or 2) is this sapping some of Stuarts virtues - man management and enthusiasm. I just hope it doesnt get really messy as the way its going Stuart is already getting ridiculed on here and thats one thing he never deserves - he cant be classed as a legend as a player and then slagged off as a manager, he is human like the rest of us and loves the club so please lets leave out some of the insults

 

We are in agreement on that mate - we have too many way underperforming and too many who sadly are just not up to it (on what we have seen to date)

 

Mind boggling what he says about Samuel's. He has cited this reason twice already since he signed. Begs the question what the hell was he thinking in bringing that type of player in then.

 

Someone needs to pull him to one side and say "We know they're pretty poor but stick to a formation and make then play to it". At the moment he's not helping himself with all the constant changes.

Forget all this talk of matching up and formations. Go back to basics and perfect it.
Give the players chance to form partnerships and build familiarity.

Been in my “ Repair Shop “ listening to the game this afternoon while doing some work for the family. Now on the forum with Little Mix on in the background. “What’s Going On” no Northern Soul on Radio Leeds . Well our problem is at the top Rupp and Rhodes without a doubt they need to go . Stuart needs to sort his team out with a Captain in control on the pitch . Yes we have some crap but we are stuck with them and need to motive the squad it’s not to difficult but it needs to start from the top. Not sure when this will happen maybe “ Long after tonight is all over “

 

For goodness sake McCall, why the hell do you worry about what formation the opponents are going to play - when at bloody home?? Let them worry about what we are going to do ffs. No wonder the fans are slowly turning against you (again). What about the Bolton and Barrow games? Are you going to piss about with formations again???

 

Agreed. Doubt any club in this division would be worried about any individual we have on the books or a combination of any 11 for that matter. Stuart has however got to find a formation and preferred 11 to fit it and stick to this for a period. Make us difficult to beat, build up confidence and grow it from there.
