Reading the reports there fans are glad to get shut ! But to be fair there having a reet clear out.

 

I'm not dressing anything up. It's you dressing up a three line interview Edin gave with the press as direct promises to Parkinson.

I have no doubt he did want Parkinson to stay part of City. Why wouldn't he, he's a quality manager at this level? We also know from interviews around the same time that he wanted a different l style of football (as did many of our fans) and to go with a development model.

I have no doubt that Edin wanted input. It's pretty much the reason that he bought a club. However the speed of Parkinson's departure can only indicate he was told this but didn't want to work under those parameters which is fair. It's just a case of Parkinson not wanting to work under the structure rather than broken promises.

 

I think you'll find I did indeed say the only person were likely to end up with is a complete novice that doesn't know what it takes.

well yeah, we've just appointed a complete nobody.

I'll be sticking a ton on us going down to ease the pain when the inevitable happens.

 

It seems like a risky appointment but who knows how he sold himself in the interview - he may have made the correct noises and bought into what how we want to operate. Folk judging him and writing him off already are a plague within our supporter base.

Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard had no experience either but Derby and Rangers have given them a chance.

Can anyone remind me of Paul Heckingbottoms experience before Barnsley? What about Paul Warburtons before Brentford? Graeme Alexander before Fleetwood?

Fingers crossed Ricc - if appointed - we are surprised with some positive news - but Sunderland first team were not known for their attacking style - one of the owners requirements.

 

it's all well and good working with youngsters, in a league with other youngsters in it that are of a similar or inferior ability level

it's a bit different trying to work with youngsters in a league with men, that are better than them.

Spot on,how is it any different from them? Other than he has far more coaching experience, most just go on a name.

He could be totally shit or a revelation, I don't know enough about him to make that call. Judging by the reaction some obviously do, hopefully they'll enlighten us all as to his strength's and weaknesses. I'm more concerned about the players we bring in tbh, that will more than likely decide how we do.

I accept that but given the clubs circumstances and claims that this is the most important appointment in years I don’t see how some novice can be the best applicant, saying that all the good applicants may (probably have imo) said no.

 

So what if he is a nobody? Let's judge him on results, not his reputation.

Why don't you write one of your stupid open letters to Edin again if it bothers you that much.
