Barnsley will appoint there’s today or tomorrow

 

Didn't someone post the end of June hardly miles away, that will obvioulsy only be with the players at the new head coaches disposal.

 

The new head coach won't have any choice but to play them
We are very low on numbers
It's getting to the time when a change of thinking about the new model will have to happen
Or we will become a rudderless ship sailing very close to the wind

 

Think we are on plan F now

 

My confidence in the owners grows with each passing day. This better be one helluva appointment. Maybe it's a German WC manager and we need to wait until it is over?

 

If it were Abbott, it would surely have been anmounced by now?

 

Or wait 'til they think it's all over..

It's not gonna be a an 'helluva' appointment.. never was.
We are a third division club and not an attractive proposition to any coach/manager who has managed at a higher level, whatever the ownership, framework or conditions.

 

As we are led to believe following recent reports. But the point is they are taking just as long and have the same model in place as us.

 

And dross managers even not interested in joining them.

Barnsley are going backwards just like Bradford City.

So, maybe both set of owners need to look at themselves.

However I think that interest in a new manager is keeping season ticket sales going
also God willing Gregs health stabilizes

 

Perhaps the way the club see it is that he's needed by pre-season rather than before pre-season.

I've said before that I'm not convinced by the owners' plan, but in my book if you're going to go through with it, you go through with it properly. If it's a head coach supported by a transfer commitee than no, there isn't the same rush as there would be for a more traditional role. I'd rather they wait and get someone who's sold on the idea than rush in a big name who's going to throw his toys out by Christmas.

Not saying it's the right way, but It looks like it's their way. Why spend the summer trying to second-guess what might be happening. Roll on the World Cup, eh.

 

Good post but it's significantly narrowing the field
Not many would take the job without some input on transfer policies if the team starts failing it's his job and reputation on the line
By the time the new season starts most of the creditable managers will be in place
The way they are doing about things is very much limiting our options

If the last 2 candidates have had 2 interviews and possibly 3 now ,why would they suddenly decide to not take the job if offered. They would have been told from the start what the criteria of the post was and if they didn't like it why would they have continued onto a 2nd and 3 rd interview. No one really knows who's been for interviews or whether they have turned us down or not it just seems everyone's clutching at straws and believing every little thing that's been posted on here or on some silly little rumour board. We will get our head coach at some point before pre-season whether it be a known coach or unknown.

 

We are where we are, Im sure we would all prefer the new man in and taking the reigns.

 

Agreed! Let's be frank here.

Bradford City, nay Bradford in general but let's keep it to just the football team fir now, is not and never has been an 'attractive proposition' no matter the ownership or framework.

We need to get some perspective.

We are, historically, a league 2, league 1 club. We have core support in the region of, maybe, 10-12k, we have a season ticket pricing system that inflates our attendances but does not inject the sorely needed money into the club. Our ground though in parts impressive is unfinished in appearance, has had a poor playing surface for generations, we don't even own it and It sits in a part if the city where to quote Springsteen "You hit a red light you don't stop".

So what did we really expect from the owners? That they would do a Jack Walker......time to wake up people.

They are doing a decent job. They are trying to build, slowly, but build nonetheless. It's their money, it's their club and I haven't seen any huge mistakes, yes, some errors, a bit naive and they maybe got caught up in the early season euphoria but so did we, but huge mistakes no.

Calm down. Take a seat, have a cup of tea.

 

Greg’s health has nowt to do with God’s willing and more to do with the skill of the doctors treating him and the years of research and development in to the drugs and surgical techniques used. Nothing more.

 

Someone like Grayson would have been acceptable . Rosler? There are people available, my post is more in jest. Of course we won't get Arsene Wenger, but Shrewbury managed to appoint someone pretty sharpish. They obviously deem it fairly important. Every day without a coach or a manager is a day we are behind all the other teams preparing for next season.

 

You lack serious ambition.

 

If you believe it has...or just an euphemism for wishing someone well which was possibly intended. But having issues with cancer, I am grateful for the medics that work with me and my faith as well.
