You keep saying he is LOANING the club money yet it hasn’t been shown in any accounts or at Companies House.

Yeh, I had inside information on that one and I laughed when he said that.

24 hours later, became common knowledge. He was shown up...

Of course Stefan says he's right behind the club, otherwise he weakens his own bargaining position. That's what good business men do.

Forget Nixon, this HAS been spoken about for a while in some circles. Nail your colours to the mast - would you want Huw Jenkins in as a new owner?

Yeah he's hardly gonna say he wants out and will take a nearest offer if it gets him out of brexit Britain. Depends what his priorities are. Any potential buyer with experience in football will have a better idea of the clubs real value than Rupp will, he's already been ripped off once by Rhodes and Lawn.

Next phone call of the day was to Carlisles owners who were in charge when they let us have Nahki Wells.

The problem we have at the club is structure. Rupp isn't a bad owner as such. The salary cap now means evrry club is at the same level recruitment wise. What it does mean is that we need to be more savvy. We need a proper scouting structure which means we can recruit the right players. Jenkins knows what hes doing while Rupp doesn't. We need someone who knows the game as net worth means absolutey nothing now. So it's a resounding yes from me.

That could be a factor. There IS potential at this club. We're a single club city, and a sizable city at that. For a capable man with vision, leadership, finance and access to more commercial and funding opportunities, this place could take off. Look at Huddersfield - we could and should be every bit as good/successful, if not more so. We just haven't had the right person leading us at the right time and we've become accustomed to failure and a lack of ambition. This place has huge potential.

How much do Huddersfield still owe their previous owners?

Hes not a bad owner as in being deliberately destructive or malevolent. But he's been negligent, is horribly out of his depth and ill equipped to own and run a football club.

It's a resounding yes from me too. In fact, I'm desperate for it to come off because in the absence of that kind of move, this club is going nowhere. And the longer we go nowhere, the less likely we are to ever prosper again.

You brought them up as a good/successful team. They did similar to us, went up stayed up, invested big and went back down with a load of debt.

Let’s see how they are doing in a couple of years before saying it was a success

Their youth team outplayed our first team the other week. They've become established as a championship side with a brief stint in the PL. That's what I mean by successful and as a yardstick for what this club could sustain and aim for. I dont know whether they have debt, but I'd be surprised if they were in financisl difficulty. Debt isnt a bad thing, in itself We're consumed by fear of debt because of our recent history, but at some point we need to let those ghosts go. If we want to have ambitions of establishing ourselves as a championship club, it's likely that some debt will be involved at some point.

I agree and again i think its down to blind naivety. He did bring Rhodes in for the short term to try and bring someone in who knows the club but if we are going to progress then yes we do need change.
The issue we have is that we don't have any assets. We don't own our ground which doesn't sit right with me and while some don't think having our own training facilties matters, i think it absolutely does.
We aren't an attractive club to buy. I think any suitable investors would be tempted by a number of clubs before us.
I hope what Nixon is saying is true but I can't see why Jenkins would be interested to be honest.

Whats this fixation with debt with some people? Were Huddersfield successful? Yes, they reached the premiership. Did their costs go up accrdingly? Yes, thats the nature of being successful. Is there a danger of going back down? Yes, its the nature of the beast, but clubs will plan accordingly. Huddersfield have had to cut their cloth accordingly since coming back down but have the remnants of two years of premiership money and more payments since then. the fact they are struggling in the championship is down to them being a poor side more than anyhting in a business sense.

You'd be better off buying Wigan who are going for a song at the moment and have a better stadium thats part of the deal.

they are in debt like the rest of the Championship, but the difference is a lot of their debt is to banks rather than the owners
