Just for clarity, I think you'll find that Adam Baker is the chair of the Supporters Board and has been for a number of years. Ryan is an attendee at the SB meetings representing the club of course.

Are you pissed? The first admin was nothing to do with him?? He was on the board!! If you truly believe that it was all down to GR then you may also believe in the Cottingley fairies.

The second admin should have been avoided. Gibb didn’t agree and left after a very public spat.

I’ve read some shite on here over the years but that probably takes the biscuit.

Admin 2 was caused by the non-payment of a preferred creditor left over from Admin 1 and done deliberately to precipitate another administration. That helped to partially clear the books of the remaining debts of £14mill. It was done when Gibb was on a skiing holiday which led to the megaphone rant on the pitch on his return. As you suggest, he was the innocent party in that.

I’ve seen some odd things at V.P over the years, but seeing Gibb go into the pitch with the microphone before the home game vs Crewe in 2004 is right up there. Totally unscripted and allegedly spur of the moment. From what I hear Bryan Robson went absolutely ape shit about it due to the effect it had on the crowd.

He might have been on the board for Admin #1 but you need to look squarely at Big Geoff and the ITV Digital fiasco for that one.
I’m not completely absolving him of blame for admin #2 but I’m not sure it’s fair to put it solely down to him personally.

Come on mate. Do you think they voted to pay dividends and then just turned a blind eye to everything else?? Not a chance

Certainly BFG's negotiations with OnDigital weren't helpful to the club's position. But it was the Board which gave the go ahead to the rebuilding of the ground and the taking on of more loans with no guarantee around the revenues expected from OnDigital to repay the loans. Other clubs also fell into the same trap. But the final nail in our coffin was the nearly £8mill which the Rhodes and Richmond families took out from the club despite the club being loss making. That was agreed at the Board when JR was present. He was as culpable as the rest of the board for Admin 1.

I guess people don't understand what it's like with a controlling egomaniac in charge of a board.

That in itself is a bit weird considering we have literally just had the Edin Rahic era.

Sorry @Tyneside@Tyneside, but when Big Geoff was here, Master Rhodes will have had minimal (if any) input into the decisions being made.

When you control it all, it's easy to pull the wool over people's eyes, manipulate everyone, or straight up bully people into agreeing. You can see it playing out in politics here and in the US right now.

Ridiculously naive to find Rhodes culpable for what happened in the Richmond era.

For "all" of his well documented faux pas, I liked what I heard and read from Mason but does he have the right background to be a C.E.O of a football club?

Yeah, it's way more realistic to imagine how many opportunities Julian had to issue Geoffrey fiery ultimatums.

Because none of us have an interest in maintaining our positions, right? We can't comprehend what that would be like.

Maintaining his position? He was a major shareholder not the club janitor!

You say this but still organised the funding for a plane that said "Rahic and Rupp out", you must therefore recognise that it isn't just the controlling egomaniac that should be accountable but also their financial enablers.

Rhodes has now been here nearly 2 years and what has happened in that time?

Further decline and general apathy on the scale of the pre-parky days, with no sign of that changing anytime soon.

    Urgent change needed.

Being involved in a business at senior level there isn’t much that I don’t see. If you truly believe that the Rhodes family didn’t know why was going on it doesn’t say much about them does it?? Rupp got caught out, but in his defence he was over in Germany, unlike the Rhodes’s who were in and out of the club on a daily basis.

I’d suggest I’m not the naive one.

First of all, Bradford City under Richmond had been spending far too much for years.

Was the time to step in was when we spent 1.3 million on Rankin? When we signed off on wages for players like Stuart, Beagrie, Deano, etc?

Very easy now, isn't it, to say 'but we shouldn't have spent on Carbone, Ward and Petrescu' when the main man had the bit between his teeth and would have told you we're now an established PL club playing European football and we need to go forwards not backwards.

Very rich of you posters here who bleat on about ambition now and how it's lacking and bleat on about how we should invest in training facilities, better players, infrastructure, scouting, and all by increasing ST prices and outside investment, which had been the whinging, whining narrative for years now.

Well we literally had all that, big money signings, stadium expansion, biggest shop in the UK, the kind of things we are demanding over and over, but yeah, a major shareholder should have stopped the owner from doing all that despite the fact that at the time it was working???

Reality check, I'm afraid guys, Rhodes was never in a position to stop that, and if you were in his shoes, you wouldn't have stopped GR either.

Do not be hypocrites in hindsight,it's not a good look.
