He fits that 'in the box' kind of goalscorer type that Stuart was looking for.

Not that brief. He played for them 40 times in the 2018-19 season! Granted they only had him for a handful of games last season but he is well thought of there and I think they'd be keen on taking him back.

 

We could do a lot worse, wasn’t used well last time here imo. I remember his debut against Gillingham at their gaff, beat the lad for pace and drew a red card when he looked certain to score the winner. Also scored a very good goal against Southend, finished like someone who knows where the net is.

 

I liked his energy and attitude, pest of a striker and decent in front of goal - I’d take him as well!

Reading going through some restructure not sure if covid related or not. Bowen Ex-manager who i thought did a steady job has walked out as he didn’t like his new role in it.

Also, where's the team news? Normally there's talk about who is in contention, who is out with a knock etc etc a few days before the game. Very strange to me - no squad numbers, no team news. Who is captain this year - has that been announced? It's almost as if we're going to turn up on Saturday with jumpers for goalposts and asking who is playing colours and who is skins.

I agree. I think it's time to stop looking up, and start looking down in terms of signings. Take a punt on a lower league player. Won't cost much and we've tried it so many times, we're due a diamond to unearth! Just as long as they are over 5 foot 4 and not German.

 

Re T&A piece..So with all game time behind closed doors, clocking the upcoming opposition is down to just video clips. When will we stop worrying about others' setups and concentrate on our own beliefs in what we are doing to beat them. They are the ones that should be worrying about us! As we can only play within our budget and to the best of our abilities..let's concentrate on just that.With our squad I do not see us getting our best performances out of worrying about competing strategies. Let's cut the uncertainty and get on with positivity.
