Unless Edin has told that that we're appointing a head coach and they will be playing no matter what.

Managers/coaches clearly not buying to Edin's methods.

 

Get the deck chairs out, this could be a 200 pager before we hear anything.

 

Heard that Arthur Askey is interested in the Valley Parade hot seat now. Aye aye, that's yer lot, folks!

 

Didn't he get Macclesfield promoted recently???

 

The thing with McCall is, miracle or not, a squad was assembled for him to reach 3rd place in the first half of the season then it all went tits up. Not even Simon Grayson could resolve the issue.

Bradford City's standards are so low now it's embarrassing.

 

They are giving far too many mixed messages. If the incoming man is going to have a say on recruitment and presumably handle first team affairs such as team selection we're effectively looking for a manager, only we're not. We are 100% looking for a head coach. Unless the discussions about signings with the head coach are going to go along the lines of "what do you think we need" "I think we are an attacking winger short" and then Abbott and Rahic go out and find him one? But then surely Abbott and Rahic would be able to identify that themselves? I dont know. The club haven't been very clear in the messages they are giving. I'm still not entirely sure what role the head coach is going to play and depending on how you interpret Abbott's statement, if we are even looking for one at all.

 

it is becoming increasingly obvious that nobody at all worth their salt in managerial terms is willing to work for Edin and his ridiculous fool proof wet dream of a model he's trying to implement.

even people as low down on the chain as Hopkin are ruling themselves out, and he must be earning a pittance at Livingston, even in comparison to the feeble wages we pay.

it's an absolute joke.

 

This is so right, If anyone asks me how City are doing my face just drops and I cannot find any words....
We are even MORE embarrassing than that lot down the road..........
There MUST be some organization locally that can save us from dropping into the Scottish third division....and beyond..

You have no idea if these potential head coaches are turning the chance to coach the team down. What are basing your Hopkins comment on - Also would Askey be such a terrible appointment or are you just hoping for someone you have heard of?

appointing John Askey would be just like Leeds appointing Hockaday. he's managed less than one full season in the football league in his entire career.
he's not young and up and coming. it would be scraping the barrel for sure if we ended up with him in charge.

and I have heard of him, I just didn't consider a team trying to get into the Championship would be looking to appoint a 53 year old from the National League to lead the team.

it would be very obvious to most people with half a brain that we must have got quite some distance down the list of potentials if we end up with Askey.

 

How do you know this is even true? The local rag has listed lots of names.

Askey is still 20/1 with the bookies. Looks like us punters are taking with a pinch of salt.

 

I know it's a rumours thread but seeing how none of us have a clue who they are actually talking to or targeting the image of a few of you attaching the hose to the car exhaust or dragging a rope from the back of the car down in't woods has spread a huge smile across my face this morning. lots of names that have all all ended up not getting the job and/or ruling themselves out.

how long is this gonna drag on? it's been a month nearly now. we're trying to sell the club to potential new signings with them not having a clue who's gonna be coaching them.
it's obvious we've been told to feck off by any number of potential appointments.

 

We've been spoilt for a few years, I know we have, but we've also seen so many clubs fall down the leagues in a similar manner and it takes some stopping if at all......

 

I think Parker is no longer in the loop about happenings at City and is just filling up his column in the paper with anything that comes to mind or is in the betting.

 

How do you know Askey is in the running??
