I can see the top two divisions breaking away in the future. How i'm not sure but the gap of the finance of those two divisions and l1 and 2 is widening every year.

Yes rick parry slamming the parachute payments that relegated clubs get saying it is the reason the league is so distorted and other clubs can’t compete.
A premier league one and two might be born out of this and I think the top clubs may get their way with B teams in their if that’s the case. What a shame.

We could really reset our leagues though. Get rid of the god awful transfer windows. Reopen the loan market etc etc. Make it more sustainable.

If you are in twitter Andy Holt the Accrington chairman is saying he will put the club into admin if he has to but is contacting lawyers to protect the ground etc so it cannot be sold

Not asked mate. It's going to be PPG

No play offs. The weighted ppg separated home and away form I think. Sunderland miss out again and Coventry go up to the championship.

Div 1: Coventry, Rotherham, Oxford - up
    Tranmere, Southand, Bolton - Down

Div 2: Swindon, Crewe, Plymouth and Cheltenham (not Exeter)
    Stevenage (down)

No play offs means @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler beloved Harrogate won't be coming up I don't think.

I said that Bradford and clubs near the play offs needed to push for it. The season needed to finish in my mind and I still can't see why they can't just finish it when the EFL sorts itself out.

Yeah i follow Andy's twitter, he makes very interesting points. In a weird way this could be a blessing in disguise for the set up of the lower leagues, a chance to regroup and become financially stable again. It might lose clubs on the way, i dont know, but something has to be done to stop the likes of Bury, and ones near to extinction like Macclesfield, happening again. Maybe the traditional 92 will be a thing of the past.

Bars, gyms, cinemas, beauty parlours and other public venues in Hong Kong have re-opened- as the city continues to see no new locally transmitted virus cases in over two weeks.

These places however, will have to adhere to several conditions. Nail salons for example must disinfect all equipment before and after every treatment, and both customers and staff members must wear masks.

Restrictions on the number of people that can sit together at a restaurant, or meet in public, have also been relaxed - with the limit doubled to eight.

Earlier this week, Hong Kong had already began relaxing some restrictions, allowing civil servants to return to work on Monday.

I think the winners out of this will be the likes of Sunderland, Salford. I think PPG is happening in div 1 & 2 then in the summer Sunderland (who won't be going up) and Salford will start saying we should be in the championship etc. It's embarrassing that little Salford seem to have power.

Player salary cap will be past in 1 & 2 but transfers/ loan market can't as that's a wider issue. Over the last few weeks div 1 & 2 clubs like us have all acted non league. Small time! Maybe league 1 & 2 being under the FA is the way forward, go part time you want.

Either way I certainly can see break away leagues happening.

The timetable announced by Denmark will see professional sport restart immediately and shopping malls open from May 11. Cafes, restaurants and schools can reopen one week later, although municipalities will have the final say on schools. Libraries, safari parks and churches are among the other places permitted to open from May 18.

As much as I personally believe the size of parachute payments distort the finances of the Championship, I don't recall Rick Parry 'slamming the parachute payments' when Liverpool were voting in favour of increasing them!

Why would any top 6 side care about the parachute payments?

    Indeed. Just in case maybe?

But their Top 6 position didn't stop Liverpool voting to increase the parachute payments on several occasions.

You’ve lost me a bit there. What power do salford have? Is it just because one of their owners is vocal and has sky sports, a national sports channel to air his views?

Over here in Estonia, we've never shut bars and restaurants, but we've had to adhere to the 2+2 rule - 2 people per table, 2 tables 2m apart, and no alcohol served after 10pm. Initially, a lot of restaurants were just taking takeway orders, and bars closed down because there was no one around, but now people are getting a lot more relaxed and places are being populated again. They are even putting terraces up on the old town square. Shopping malls, parks and playgrounds were closed, but these are opening up this weekend. Sports and other outdoor trainings are allowed with maximum 10 people per activity. On the 18th, the borders are being opened up in Latvia and Lithuania, meaning that travel is allowed across the three countries. Of course what is going to badly hit Estonia is the lack of tourists and the lack of cruise ships. Many restaurants and bars in the old town survive on this business alone, and if they don't go bust during the summer, then they will in the winter months, as they normally use the money they've made in the summer to carry them through the harder months. Fortunately my bar is in a local area, and we've got a good regular base of clients, but of course we get tourists too. Being shut for six weeks has lost me circa 120k of business, which as I mentioned above will have a knock on effect come November-March.

Football over here is still suspended, but clubs are back training again (in groups of 10) and I expect the season to continue soon. Not sure about the crowds though, as most of the games get about 1000 watching max!

Because Salford will make out we're financially good. Why do you think they didn't Furlough anyone? They will make out we need to look at the whole footballing model in 1 & 2 and why should we suffer because other teams are not financial stable etc Neville has already said he's against salary cap but it's going through.

Yes, Neville uses Sky as a platform and I can just see Salford and others saying if clubs are in debt etc then points deducted etc.

Look, I just feel teams with money in 1 & 2 will use this situation to their advantage.

To be honest the 14 vote thing until now has been nonsense. Think the top 6 will just vote yes to things that don't effect them.

This is why I been impressed by the Spanish and Germany league. The leader makes the decision and that's that.

Are you suggesting that the former Liverpool CEO doesn't have principles then? He just goes along for the ride?
