But many on here didn’t rate him either and said his control was poor and that most of his goals ‘hit him’ rather than he directing his shots.

Fast forward 2yrs and we have a raw player that has an eye for goal but needs better coaching.

When he started last season so well, I bet there wasn’t many that cast him off and called him shite

I think we will end up with Heckingbottom or McCann. As Heckingbottom likely to be sacked by Leeds and I expect one of them to end up at Barnsley and us to take the other one.

We're already 3 weeks down the line, can't afford to waste more time hoping heckingbottom gets the sack AND is interested in the city job. If we want him go for him, if not stop fecking about and go for someone we can appoint this week

 

Can't see Hecki going back to Barnsley - a lot of ill feeling when he left there if I remember rightly. Would welcome him to VP straight away.

 

At a very poor level and a PR disaster. He was our worst signing of all time and the daggers will be out from the start.

Still have to be able to do it.. McCall couldn't, and plenty of other managers have failed.. His budget wasn't apprently massive either. Not saying he would be first choice, however people need to get over a nearly 20 year old transfer

 

We've had some bad names linked with the role but Heckingbottom would concern me. Seemed to ride the wave that Lee Johnson set up for him at Barnsley and even though he was unlucky to lose key players, a lot of the replacements that he recruited didn't seem to fare very well. Alternatively, if Barnsley's move for McBurnie had been secured in the summer, it could have been a better season for them.

But even though he joined Leeds at a tough time, just after the window closed, Leeds fans that I know (who are usually pretty reasonable believe it or not!) are far from convinced and would be glad to see him gone.
