Doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Disgraceful media coverage, an inept government and scenes like we have witnessed on Westminster bridge the past two weeks have left the general public in complete bewilderment about what they are supposed to do. Police chastising people in the peak district but then clapping and cheering with hundreds of others on a prominent London bridge leave people to come to their own conclusions. And i don't blame them. I've done my own thing today as has my wife.

I study in bristol but i came up to yorkshire as my dad was getting married and got trapped up here so im 250 miles away from my facilities. Most of my coursemates that could have also gone back to their families. I'm now paying 9k a year on a mainly practical course for skype calls.

I get the situation at hand but for me they should just cancel the year and move forward with a double sized first year cohort next year. the time saved from teaching 2nd years would just be converted into teaching those of us that would have been 2nd years our first year course properly. one of my practical modules for example is professional studio recording techniques, how the feck can i do that in the current climate when we cant even leave the house.

suck a fat one for the 9k a year im paying as my course is in bristol but I came up to yorkshire just prior to the lock down as my dad was getting married. got stuck up here so also paying 500 quid a month for a flat im not using as my loan didnt go anywhere near to covering my rent for the year. for people who think students get an easy ride, you absolutely do if you have a mummy and daddy thats rich. the rest of us just manage however we can.

This government have been an utter shambles dealing with this. Weak leadership and they haven't got a clue. Seems to me haven't got a plan either.

music production, so not the i want to be a star music performer stuff but more technical in the background business. I already work a bit freelance in that industry but wanted to develop my knowledge so I can move to just working in studios etc full time.

I was talking to Leeds uni on business the other day and the problem that youve is the education sector have had their money from the government and even though they can help with this virus in the labs it goes back to what @Dennis@Dennis has been saying that the government don't want to use them.

So, uni' so get a lot of money from international students mainly from?? You guessed it.. China but many are trying cancel and this is why straight forward ideas like yours wont be considered because the Uni's want the cash and they can only get it from current students at this moment.

Itll do the whole sector in as like many in this country its glutted on chinese money. annoying as well for me as someone from the working class trying to better themselves as these rich chinese kids coming in just pushes the price of everything up to insane amounts because most dont even realise theyre getting ripped off. but of course as usual if you have loads of money you matter and if you dont you may as well go lay in a ditch somewhere.

I believe they've opened some beaches for kids so they can get some exercise and taste a bit of freedom after being locked down for so long. If its policed properly its an excellent idea as young uns will have no idea whats going on and will be suffering as much as adults from not being able to play out etc.

it has been said for a while we are two or three weeks behind Spain in the cycle so if they have another 2 weeks we must still have 4 or 5

Yes I would have been happy with our police force implementing it rather than the government saying it's advisory, once again the pictures showing yesterday evening suggesting a disregard for the advice they were asked to adhere to, typical "I'm alright Jack **** you mentality.
