763 for today's hospital deaths figure. Another highish one but it still looks like part of a a slow downtrend from April 10th peak of 980.

If so, Spain deaths peaked about two weeks earlier than UK. Nissan is to restart car manufacture in Barcelona on May 4th. UK plant recalls 50 staff to make preparations.

Can we organise some closed doors football if people are preparing to go back to work?

the league have said they will come back with options so it sounds like the clubs will be getting some input even if not an official vote

It was just finishing as I started watching City, fans didn't have the transport/car as they have today so regional football was a blessing for most fans, I believe the likes of Wrexham/Crewe were in the Northern section and were about as far south as you went, it would make sense to discuss it after this pandemic.

    https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-spain-aims-to-ease-lockdown-in-second-half-of-may-11977020

If Spain is aiming for the second half of May, I'd estimate that we'll follow suit in early June. which is consistent with the briefings the industry I work in has been getting for a little while. Not sure what the implications are in terms of players returning to training. If they can't return until early June then they'll need 3-4 weeks for training, so would suggest it'll be July before any games could start.

How can you vote on it? Wouldn't be balanced.

They're just waiting on the EFL

Worth keeping in mind that the Premier League is worth over £7b to the UK economy - a significant enough number, but way behind agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, leisure and the services industries, which will presumably need to be the priorities in terms of restarting the economy.

Automotive manufacturing makes up 9% of Spain's GDP. With the tourism hit they're going to get this year, they'll be desperate to get it going again.

Yeah just look at the mess National League Level 2 is

National League North covers a much greater area than South but there are a good deal of clubs in the north that could end up in the south and with some areas having an unusually large number of all the way down to tier 12, London and Essex are especially bad and the right set of circumstances can really move the line for a League significantly. I know on Football Manager a save I do every year is using FMEditors Tier 12 database, starting unemployed and taking the first club in tier 12 to offer me a job and you quickly realise how regional leagues become a nightmare for clubs as there is a delay in knowing which league you will be in and who will be in your league. There are also issues where a two clubs 10mins apart can be in different leagues and the route through the leagues being much harder as the opponents are stronger for one than the other

Burnley boss Sean Dyche says his players will NOT need a long training camp to be ready for Premier League action and admits telling his squad 'there is a strong chance' the current season will be started again.

    Good.. he's correct as well.

I can see the PL fu@king off the EFL and some useless clubs.

Closer to a super league in the future. Leagues getting together and forming the strongest in it.

Know what you mean Tony, but that would
    mean this season never happened,strange
situation,it really is like cancelling football
    like during the wars....

I agree with Fordy in that until a vaccine is
found most things will be difficult.

Let's hope Oxford uni people are successful
with the trials they are starting tomorrow. It
would be a proud moment of U.K. Were first
in the world to find one.

No games for 10-12 weeks, limited training facilities available, no ball work, but they won't need much training? Pretty sure he'll be in the minority on that.

Anyone else worried about the latest statement from Ryan Sparks?
Are we as safe financially as we are lead to believe?

the timescale for the vaccine is still another 12 months at best before mass immunisation could start even if everything goes well first time round

It's a nothing statement, complete waste of time.

More to the point, why are we hearing from Ryan and not Julian or Stefan?
