IF the season is prolonged past the end of June I imagine Rupp not being happy at potentially having to shell out more wages to this group of underachievers. I wonder if SM could let a few "go" when their contracts expire on 30 June to relieve that burden?

 

And that's the million dollar question isn't it, how we sort the standings. From a selfish perspective I hope it is void and then we won't have to witness leeds in the premier league. But I just cannot imagine clubs voting for it. A few will, like Karen Brady and west ham, but there's lots of issues other than standings for clubs to consider if they void the season. Financially, missing out on the remaining income from games, would be disastrous. Let's see what they come up with on thursday but whatever it is, it's a lose lose.

 

The three week suspension is to work out what they are going to do, rather than thinking they will be playing in three weeks.

On a side issue Sky sports & Bt will be pushing for behind closed door games.

Cancellations will be going through the roof.

No sport for 3-6 months at least.

How can clubs play games when at any given time a % of the squad/staff/club personnel are likely to be in self isolation.

What happens if a City player has it without knowing and infects the opposition or vice versa thus worsening the situation?

And what about taking away doctors and other medical staff away from hospitals where they are most needed?

PL can say end of season, Liverpool champions but no relegation! Top 4 is top 4. Then it's up to EFL to solve their mess but that's not the PL problem. The PL could say to the EFL they would welcome Leeds and West Brom no play off team.

This is why I believe at this season will be given as long as possible but Thursday will be we will end the season in X and what will be will be! Get your games in if possible with or without fans.

And who will officiate these behind closed doors games games as statistically over the next few weeks a good % of referees and lines people will be potentially self isolating at any one time? Demand will out strip supply very quickly.
