Let's hope when Stuart brings his type in we give them a chance to see what they can do or are we just offering 4 week contracts now?

 

Why did Vaughan get loaned out anyways?

 

I am more than willing to give him a chance. I was just pointing out earlier that unless we can move on some of the contracted players, McCall has little room to bring in his own centre backs or strikers. He cannot be happy about that.

 

That's exactly the point about our recent transfer window and our signings in general over recent years. One manager signs them, the next has to get rid of them. I wonder how many of our fans would have signed Novak and Guthrie. Who did sign them, by the way? Bowyer? Rhodes?

 

Now there is a loaded question. The official line is that he wanted to play nearer his home.

 

My eldest is at Manchester so comes back for some of the bigger home games but meet him for a few away games, think he's been to 7 and I've been to 8 this season...hour on the train, cheap as chips with a student rail card!! His choice of Uni not mine I hasten to add as well.

 

Which is strange given that Tranmere were interested in him last summer. He could have signed for them if that was the issue instead of signing a 3 year deal with a club further away. I'm not buying it.

It's because Rhodes wanted to reduce the wage bill and thought he could fool fans yet again.

 

Park, I'd have to ask why a striker who scored 16 goals last season was still at the lowest club in the football league? 16 goals and no one snapping him up? I'm guessing he wasn't highly sought after.

 

He's rubbish.

He tends to have a good 1st season then in the second he scores about 3 goals.

I'm writing him off and I hope somehow we can get rid in the summer.

We need quality and he isn't.

He would be happy if you signed for Bradford. He's given up on the club. Tick, tick, ticking along.

 

I am not saying he is the worlds greatest player just want to give him more than one game before making my mind up about him

 

Yes, I have seen enough and looked at his stats.

 

Yes and the stats say last season he scored 16 goals in a poor side more than anyone will score for us this season every reason to at least give him a chance

 

Being the main man in a struggling club tends to mean you get fed the ball more to score.

The issue with him he can't do it second time around and shows no consistency which highlights he isn't good.

Also, clubs are extremely quick to get rid of him even though he scores in the 1st season.

Having watched him against his former club and then he was dropped from the squad, my eyes saw enough and he's pants!

 

11 league goals last season, 1 goal the season before and think it is 6 this season. He was struggling to get in the football leagues worst side's starting line up before we signed him, a truly bizarre signing, and we paid a fee.

The one game he has played for us, he lookes well out of his depth. Hate writing players off so soon, but McCall knows we need much better

 

And we're stuck with him until the end of next season. I don't know how anyone can have confidence in the running of the club when we do things like this. Truly bewildering.

 

Other clubs must think we are bonkers getting rid of Doyle and Vaughan and replacing with Guthrie and Novak, whilst we were handily placed in the top 7. As you say, a bewildering January window, topped off by sacking Bowyer a couple of days after window closes.

 

The whole running of the club through January was pathetic. The return of Doyle, the complete inactivity in the transfer window until we were forced to do something, bringing in players at the last minute then sacking the manager meaning the new manager has no say in those players brought in and is now stuck with them, taking the easy way out and bringing Stuart back. Allowing things to get so bad our leading scorer goes out on loan, no sign of the defensive midfielder badly needed to stop the season petering out. And then bringing in players like Guthrie and Novak. Just so bloody amateurish.
