If we paid £250 a ticket attendences would probably half sponsorship would fall as would catering and shop sales

Profit? In the Championship? Not very likely.

Factor in that Fulham fill their ground, and there's literally no reason to drop prices. But rephrase your point about charging 360 for an adult ST, if they did decide to drop to 150 they would lose around 5 million.

Is there an implication that Fulham would struggle without that 5 million? It would take 28 years before they lost the equivalent of the transfer fees they spent on their current squad. That's nearly three decades, and we haven't discussed wages.

I think Schurle was meant to be on 5.5 million a year, or thereabouts, last season on loan.

Now, if we did what they did and sold tickets for 360 and we filled the stadium, how are we going to compete with that extra 5 million given we wouldn't be able to afford any if the required transfer fees and clubs would have individual players earning more than that in a single season ( on loan or otherwise)...

I'm just not seeing how it makes us competitive, and I'm not seeing how the gate receipts for Fulham make any difference.

You could be realistically where would you build one. You could build one at Queensbury Celtic playing fields but you wouldn't. Brentford have built one on the size of a postage stamp, but that's due to land being at a premium in London. They also have a public transport infrastructure that can take some of the strain. Bradfords geography is completely different. Nowt to stop you building a stadium at say King George playing fields but you wouldn't. Just like there's a stadium at Valley Parade but you'd have to be mad to build one there now.

Sorry swap the word profit for income. As you say only Rotherham made a profit in the championship.

Why don't we just sponsor the club?

Raise X amount that we feel will make a difference and sponsor us.

A complete new start at Odsal would be ideal or somewhere along the M606 Rooley lane corridor although I haven’t been there for a long time so I don’t know if there is the space

Sites near the city centre are OK transport wise. Valley Parade isn't that bad to get away from if your heading toward the motorway. The A650 and Manchester Road can get you away fairly quickly compared to a lot of grounds.

Does the catering and merch shop bring in a million a season? Would the reduced, it is reduced not zero, sales in those areas equal more than a million?

I don’t think so we would be better off revenue wise and with the possibility of an attractive team there is a very good chance the supporters come back.

Exactly, no way would the possible loss in revenue these sources bring in add up to the extra revenue generated. The fans that don't renew due to a price increase probably wouldn't buy merchandise or use the catering anyway.

I clicked on this to put learn how to defend corners. Not sure if I've got the wrong idea or I'm just a pragmatist.

Would it be ideal? I would love to know where the majority of fans travel from. Getting over there from Shipley, Saltaire, Bingley etc would be a pain. Especially if you don't drive/want to have a few beers.

    15000 crowd
    20% spend £10 at 23 league games
    Total £690,000

    10,000 crowd
    20% spend £10 at 23 league games
    Total £460000

    Total difference -£230000
Of course the numbers above are simply part of the story trying to show that pies and merch probably don’t bring in as much as we think.

CEO? 10 years ago no worries but my working life is done and I don’t need the money (or the headache of Prima Donna footballers)

There are plenty of people saying they can't stand League Two and are weighing up whether to go or not. Add in Bowyer turning people off, and you're in dangerous territory raising prices in League Two. If Stuart doesn't get us promoted and the next manager is a dud, increasing ST prices could be a death blow.

Those will be the same people who weren’t going to renew at the end of last season and we were going to end up with 10k?

whenever there is a discussion on pricing the same old excuses are wheeled out.

At some point they need to bite the bullet. Why not now and get over the hump.

We only having this discussion because we are failing on the pitch during the course of affordable football we have enjoyed some excellent times with big crowds and great atmosphere. Keep it affordable get our act together move up the league then graduall increase prices

It would be one big gamble, I believe we'll struggle to achieve ticket sales for this present season around 14,000 ?, we were all full of expectation after Rahic sacking, Rupp telling us he would do all he can to make good the mess he ex-partner Rahic left us in.
We had a new manger who many thought (including myself) could get us in a play off place, yet the season looks like it will peter out without any sort of fight, I'm disappointed with Stuart's comment "Stop dreaming about Wembley" in today's T&A, I think most reailse it is highly unlikely but for him to say it IMO is a little disappointing it gives me the impression he's given up which is not the Stuart McCall we all know.
As others have said the club missed the chance after our Wembley Capital Cup/promotion season may be another £25 to £50 would have been a reasonable increase after all it was League One football, I'm with you increasing the price whilst in the khazi league would be a big gamble IMO.

Kieran Maguire whom is an expert in this field, last week tweeted that Championship clubs for season 2018/2019 had total operating losses of £598.5M.
