I wouldn't be totally against that. A tad underwhelming though. I'd take Warnock and Jones over him. Even Stuart if I'm honest.

Heckingbottoms stock has really dropped since leaving Barnsley. Two poor spells at Leeds and Hibs. I don't think he has that big personality required to get us out of this slump.

Agree and to be honest, after Sparks has come out and said we've been inundated with applicants, a lot of whom are high calibre, I think I'd be a bit disappointed with Hecky - like you say, his stock has dropped over the past couple of years.

Jones would be the best appointment for me. We have players that need the passion put back in them, which they seem to have lost. I would even say that the disruptive influences within the playing squad needs addressing with most of those influences gone and now the time to change. Drury needs to go too, get rid of wrong thinking and tactics.

 

I have it on good authority we tried hard for Heckingbottom after Grayson left us. He was raking it in from Leeds pay off and declined our offer.
