I was trying to get at that our poor form has lasted too long, we were doing great up until beating Exeter and then the wheels fell off, similar has happened to Cambridge.

If we are out of the play off race and not enough games to get back in, but that may be me being a little unfair as at the start of the season most would have been happy with mid-table, but as we progressed into an auto places being 3 points I believe behind the top team with a game in hand he has maybe been to successful for his own good at the start of the season.
That does not mean I believe he will be sacked by the hierarchy, they may allow him to full fill their expectation during his second season.

Obviously they have not played like they did at Valley Parade all season or they would have been in the promotion race but they were a delight to watch the other week, although I wanted us to win.

nobody would be happy in league 2 mid table but experience tells you getting out is not as easy as some people make out . I was listening to Gary Jones on the way home last night saying you have to “Battle and grind your way to be successfull in this league” The trouble is on here is some people slag of every player we have and yet expect us to walk the league

Think Jones was implying then that the players are not giving it their all.

Not going in for 50/50 challenges etc. Which until yesterday was mainly true. Reeves and Palmer have been a disgrace in recent weeks on that front.

Also remember Jones played under Parky and his style was defensive and battling.

Wellens is more attack based and using the players ability more. Other teams like Luton have been more attacking also. Think Parky side football is now dated in league 2z

There's no guarantee of getting out of any division, the aspirations become less as you move up but the idea that some how some fans would have been happy with mid table after last season annoys me greatly. I kinda get it falling from the championship into league 1 but we're talking about the lowest league going. Any time we have the displeasure of bing in league 2 i would expect immediate promotion. Anything less is abject failure for a club with any shred of aspiration.

 

This, right here right now, is definitely failure, when Accrington Stanley are in a league above you you need to take a reality check, and accept you really are not very good, in fact you are simply a shitty tinpot club.

This club should be nowhere near league two, but we are because of the Richard Heads running it.

 

That’s putting it strong but I think you’re not wrong. Bowyers only justification is that he got the point that kept us in the play offs and the opposition out of it. Vital bearing in mind they have two matches in hand.
