That is fair comment @Old city man, but in the two games Doyle has played for us so far do you think he is the answer to our poor scoring record, be that because we don't play to his strengths or otherwise, if it is true we need to find a replacement as well as cover for other positions before we sell, but there isn't a player presently playing football who a club wouldn't sell at the right price, and Eoin Doyle is no different.
You watch him score a couple tonight .

 

On the last two performances Doyle is MUCH better than we already have so the question is why would you sell your best striker for 90k and if you do, who on earth can replace him for what amounts to pennies.

Much better without any goals we have enough of those player, I'd sell him because seeing him again I don't think he's the answer to our striking problem in our team not his fault but true, and as he is a free agent in June if we can get £100,000 and save £100,000 on wages that to me is a good deal.

 

It’s not only the 100k though there is also the small matter of 5k a week wage saving enough to improve the squad in several position. Having said that I don’t think Swindon have the money to do this transfer

Yes, I realise this. But there are other ways of playing other than lumping it up to a target man to hold up. Unfortunately it seems that Bowyer doesn't know how to set up teams any other way because he keeps us playing as though we have a target man, even when we clearly haven't in Donaldson's absence.

They should but we don't have creative midfielders. Cooke's probably looked the best that way but the combo of Reeves & Palmer is just daft. Basically the same player. Devitt has been the most creative player in L2 for 2 seasons but hasn't been available yet. Width is my biggest problem.

Ismail shows flashes but is never fit, 1 goal and 2 assists but only played 544 minutes this season. Connolly is just infuriating every game. The lad has zero end product. Has the beating of a man every game but cant find a player to save his life. Honestly think if he didn't fist pump at the crowd he'd offer nothing for the fans to like.
