Away vs Crawley Jan11th

I can see this 2 ways:

1. We're sat in 6th place on equal points with 3rd and, other than Swindon at home and Salford first half, haven't played well at all. Must be more to come from the team/squad surely!!

2. We've been lucky to amass the points we have and have ridden our luck in numerous games. We have managed to make many of the lower placed teams look like Liverpool's world beaters. Don't look like scoring in many of the games because of the set up and style of play.

I have a foot in both camps to be honest but I don't think that getting rid of Bowyer halfway through the season is the answer. We've had enough manager's over the last few seasons and I don't want us to be one of those clubs with a constantly revolving door. After the Rahic era we need some stability back in the club.

Just seen the highlights to this. The defending is awful and quite worrying. This result has been on the cards for a while now. The only surprise is that it didn't come before today where we've scraped a result.

 

We wait until the end of the season. Of course if by March we've only won one match, then that would be different

Like it or not we've made progress. As I've shown above, people like @Tolly856 have short memories as apparently our expectations were bottom half

 

This was when we were £3M in debt, there were talks of admin, had the likes of Josh Wright etc under contract and Rhodes was playing down expectations regarding budgets. Since then we’ve received a £3M windfall from the Mcnurbie sell on fee, and Bowyer has been given a top 3 budget to overhaul the squad. When this became apparent and our situation off the field didn’t look quite as bleak my expectations adjusted. It’s called objectivity.

 

Save it for later there's no rush it doesn't get better with age unlike us .

I don't think sacking Bowyer will help, but I still think it's going to be a disappointing season as long as he's in charge.

If we do get promoted but the level of play doesn't improve, then he needs to go

 

If we win all our home matches then that's 30 points. Scrape 10 more points from the remaining 10 away games and it's feasible. Better away form is needed and I think we'll get it, when we have the players who are better at retaining the ball

It's Bowyer who said he'd need three windows, just after he got the job full time, I'm just quoting him

I'm all for consistency and giving managers time if you can see what the manager is trying to do and believe in it.

I don't. I dont like his football and I see little evidence of coaching, certainly in terms of what we do when we have the ball.

Our performances are getting worse and even more disjointed.

 

That's the only good thing about today Leeds getting beat, my son in law is in Benidorm on a rugby weekend I've just sent him a text "Leeds are falling apart again" I thought Bielsa had them going up for sure this season, but could they blow it again.....surely not could they .

Whatever, manager was always going to be given a good budget Rupp made that plain way before your March post, yet still you weren't objective enough to think that a promotion race was realistic? But now, not only must we be promoted, but it must be done playing great footie!! Imagine you as the club's CEO!!

Maybe a positive step forward today from Bowyer, for the first time he actually criticised the team as a hole in his post match interview, so maybe accepting it was poor he might tell certain players they need to knuckle down and play it simple.

 

When Rahic was destroying this club you called for patience, when we were getting relegated without a fight you called for patience and here you are again, telling everyone to get behind the club and give Bowyer time. You’re default response to everything, no matter how precarious or positive our situation is, is backing the club to the hilt.

All I’ve done is adjusted my views as our circumstances have changed for the better since March last year. You on the other hand are probably the most pointless poster on here. Name me a time when you weren’t up the clubs arse?

 

My fear though is that the league position is a false one at present. That's oof course only my opinion and I'm only basing it solely on what I see with my own eyes and not taking into account all the statistical data others use to prove we deserve to bre where we are.

If there isn't a sudden or even gradual slide then fine, maybe I'm over reacting but at the moment I don't see the sort of quality and the odd dominant performance that you'd expect from a side so well placed in the league.
