I like it! I know it's the game Swindon play. The we have no money card but you are club that has footballing men around.

Swindon Town didn't wake up one morning and go hmm we want Doyle, Grant and Yates. It was planned for months but the key is money. Let's get Wellens and the media to make out we have none then boom get the players on the cheap.

I admire Swindon's recruitment. They also know if they do go up Yates, Doyle and Grant and perform at Div 1 level.

Think the Crewe person said about one of our directors saying Doyle will be back with Bradford it was because he knows Swindon are a smart cluband will more than likely say x player isn't player and the weekend & then that player starts. He was fishing!

Swindon Town are no mugs but love mugging.

It's nothing new is it most managers play games to suite their cause, I'm not sure opposition manager team selections are made o Wellens comments with regards surtain players not being fit.
And again clubs crying the poor tail are nothing new, hence undisclosed transfer fees.

Even that period is remembered differently by fans, Richmond is very much like Marmite for the part he played.

 

In 'our' lifetime, then yes. However - There was one Helluva price to pay for that short lived experience.
It possibly only took half the time to fall back to the Khazi lge than it did to initially climb from there to the 'top'.

No mate I was going to go but as I posted to Fordy surely the club would announce his return before the general public saw him training with the City squad, maybe not ?.

 

How can facts be remembered differently?

 

IF only Richmond had kept his nose out of first team affairs, once we'd hit the PL ....... I and possibly most, imagine things would have panned out very differently - And Jewell would have been with us, leading the way ... upwards.

 

Because some will say it was our best time ever Premier football, and others will recall it was Richmond chasing the dream of staying I the Premier that started the fall from grace, I'd say they were both facts ?.
Although some will say (as Richmond did) it was ITVs digital moneys that was not forthcoming that broke the bank and threw the club into turmoil.

 

PR departments at Bradford and Swindon working like mad..

If he stays or goes for each club then they've serious explaining to do.

Think also maybe giving Swindon time to get a replacement in or close to getting one.. so it can Ben we lost Doyle but here is what we won instead..

Many get married for the wrong reasons, but separate for the correct ones.

 

I didnt say we were not the biggest club. What does biggest club actually mean anyhow?

I agree we are doing well, and I agree we should recall Doyle. However, not seen enough to say we deserve to be champions. No team deserves to be champions in January anyhow

 

This is the facts. Richmond took us from league1 to the premiership in the time he said it would, he also kept us there for a season. It went downhill quickly from there but no one can deny what he achieved. I have a feeling it will never be bettered.

 

Although I agree some were suggesting Jewell had been tapped up and he was on his way to Sheffield Wednesday rather than Richmond sacking him, who do we believe.

 

Some of the fanbase are definitely where they deserve to be, no doubt about that.
