The £300k is annually. So years 2 & 3 of the contract are covered.

I'm more than happy for players to improve. We can have a team of 24 year olds for me. It's the feeder club mentality and the Grodowski's that I don't like. How much money, time & effort has put into Grodowski?

That's because they are usually not very good.

There's a big reason Gerrard has taken the job, he's got good money to spend. They're suddenly spending millions.

Warburton never had that. He was picking up free transfers.

Forest is a bit harsh. Karanka did nothing with that group of players either. He'll probably question why he took the job. No money, a poor squad, high expectations...........sound familiar?

 

Won’t be distracting too many League Two, Conference or German third tier clubs though. That’s where we’ll be signing players from.

I hope I am completely wrong, and we have a winning team come kick off. I honestly can’t think of a season where I was expecting us not to do well. Even during the dark days of admin, we just dig deep and supported the team. In those days we actually knew why we were in a mess.

 

I would say that puts the Drury rumours to bed then. If he was set to be installed, why would they need to delay another week. Sounds like they still have to meet up with candidates yet. Maybe not bowled over with candidates they have already met, or someone is keeping them waiting for answer- Warburton?

 

I said it a couple of weeks ago, we'd be in no rush whatsoever. Edin will be in his element making the signings etc.
Added to which, there are many jobs available that are more attractive than this one.

Very few managers have not experianced failure at some time in their careers, I prefer to look at what they have achieved.

 

I'd suggest the latter because we put all our eggs in the Grayson basket, without a plan B.
