I was annoyed that at the end Bowyer strolled about in centre field looking for opponents to shake hands with.

 

The Doyle thing grates, but it's done. It is, what it is. Our focus needs to be on going out and adding at least 1 and probably 2, quality forwards. Send Oteh back. He's shit.

 

When we have defenders who won't/cant do the basics there is always a chance the opposition will get a goal, and like it or not when the lad took Paudie on down the dead ball line he should have had the ball in the Kop or Sunwin, but he though he could out play Asante who then put a great cross in for a simple tap in equaliser.

 

Going to defend Bowyer a bit after all the stick he is getting.

We played some of the best football of the season in the first half today. We created a few good chances, but you cannot blame him for the 2 sitters missed by Mellor and Oteh. They go in and its a comfortable home win and he wouldnt be getting the stick he is getting.

He does need to bring in a striker to replace Oteh if he can though, if thats not going to be Doyle, then hopefully someone else lined up.

I thought Reeves and Pritchard played well in midfield today.

Anthony O'Connor gets better and better each week, but Paudie and BRE looked a bit shaky at times today.

Connelly did a lot of running about to no effect, clearly not a striker. Not a fan of Oteh at all, I am afraid. He should be sent back next month

 

Connolly had a better game than Oteh. He did really well given that hes not a centre forward.

 

Agree there was nothing wrong with our play today, but we need to put at least a couple of the chances we made away.

 

I agree, though the amount of sprinting he does I'm rarely surprised when he's subbed - but Oteh was very poor, if he stays he needs to be fourth striker.

 

Another point on the board, one week closer to the transfer window and hopefully to the return of Donaldson. We're having difficulty taking our chances but we are still in reach of the automatics. I still think people are being overly dramatic.

 

Ismail wasn't even mentioned. He's going to go off form just by not getting enough match time. Bonkers.

 

Bowyer said Ismael was ill during today's match so he couldn't go on.

Oteh can go back. He’s not the answer to our chance-converting problems. Bring Doyle back not least to stop Swindon’s gallop and sign a big target man for him to play off. We can’t rely on Donaldson at his age to do it all, even when he’s fit. I also think in this division we need an enforcer. So that’s the equivalent of three new signings. Cheque book time or try and sneak up via the playoffs. Fairly simple choice I’d say.

 

Their goal was because of Paudie's poor defending, they were there for the taking and a very poor piece of defensive play gave Salford a goal, it wasn't as if the equaliser was a great header just a simple ball knocked into the area and flicked in, Puadie's overall game was dodgy today as was BRE at times.
We can talk all we want about subs, the game was won it just needed managing out for the last 10 minutes and certain players stop thinking their Franz f*****g Beckenbauer.

 

And a defensive midfielder comes on at 1-1 while Ismail sits on his arse because Bowyer is happy with a point.

 

I’m not GB’s biggest fan but I’ve no issue with him today apart from the Late sub,. Thst game should have been wrapped up by half time, however we’ve no goal scorers so we can’t score.

As @Botswana Bantam mentioned earlier it’s the Orient performances that then put us under unnecessary pressure at home to get 3 points and it ain’t gunna happen every time

Sadly Donaldson wont be back until late January he told me today.

 

Paudie should have brought him down outside the box rather than let him run on the byline. Shades of Clive Thomas with the ref blowing the whistle when we were about to take a shot. Ridiculous.

 

Bowyer said Ismail was I'll during the game and unavailable as a sub.

But I'd rather Bowyer played the last minute with ten and launch one last attack than waste thirty seconds bringing Taylor on for no reason.

 

Don't believe that for a second. If he was ill he wouldn't have been on the bench at all.
