Add to that Vaughan hasnt set the world alight, Donaldson is wasteful in front of goal and Bowyer doesn't fancy Shay. Oteh hit and miss too.

If any position requires confidence its a striker and Doyle has in abundance. We are light up top.

AOC and Akpan are starting to repay for an abysmal season last term and Doyle can too.

If Doyle was to return how can we trust his mental and physical attitude towards his registered employer would be right.
We've carried enough passengers over the years and the slightest notion that he no longer wants to ply his trade at Bradford would be damaging to team moral first and foremost not taking into account the verbal bile he would be subject too from the stands if he failed to carry on the rich run of form shown at this present time in the Swindon team.
Personally I wouldn't take to kindly to a returning player merely going through the motions to the end of his contract.

 

Agree, but there needs to be a renegotiation of the terms so that Swindon are paying all of his wages.

 

We played him wrong. Doyle like Vaughan play too deep for us and both do their best work in the box.

We've decent wingers now and if Doyle came back I see no reason why he would score a load of goals if we play him right.

 

Don't think Bowyer would let him.

Also it's in his interest to perform and help us to div 1.

Forget what you saw. Its irrelevant. It is what he is doing now and is capable of. He is capable of scoring goals in league two and thats a fact.

He has 16 already, Donaldson nowhere near that come May and Vaughan another who might not even get that many.

 

I have been very much in the camp of"bring him back" Doyle is scoring at a phenomenal rate for any striker, watched the game yesterday and you could see he's enjoying not merely scoring but playing in a team that he is obviously appreciated.
As we aren't doing too bad without him and his goals, which can't be guarenteed if he returns I would be telling Swindon they have seen what he brings to them so they have two choices,
They can have him on a free transfer and negotiate a deal with Doyle and his agent.
Pay his full wages until the end of this season then make him an offer going forward.
If they took him on a free now they could possibley offer him a 30 month deal on less money but a contract that would give him and his family security for the near future, the plus side of that would be he would be a Swindon player and if anither club wanted him on the back of this seasons scoring record they could make a good profit from the deal.
I would be very reluctant to have to get rid of players we have brought in to get us where we are and give us a very good chance of promotion because of the FPP and lose them.

I dont think so we should sort a deal out with Swindon and let him go. At the end of the day the decision is down to Bowyer.

FPP is an utter joke.. it's embarrassing, suppose the lack of assets don't help us on this matter.

Anyway, think now your superman Reeves is back we can maybe let Palmer go back or get rid of Anderson, Devine or Akpan. Plus others like McCartan can go. So we can reduce the wage bill.

However, as it stands Swindon play the we've no money line well and make us look foolish.

I'm sure the Club have, and are still examining all the pros and cons of this situation, and any consequences, should they call it wrongly.

 

Swindon are top they have played 2 more games than us
There are 3 autos up for grabs
Time will tell I expect Swindon and Doyle to fade once the winter heavy grounds set in
What makes you think that Doyle would come back and score at the same rate as he is for Swindon
Agree Vaughan and Donaldson may not score as many as we would like
Goals are evenly distributed throughout the team which can only be a good thing
Where would Swindon be if Doyle gets a bad injury

 

Why would and hopefully he wouldn't GB change a winning formation
To accommodate a player who couldn't score for us whilst he was playing for us
If your business is performing well you don't change your strategy why should GB

Get rid of the likes of Anderson, Devine, Akpan, and McCartan, you do realise to do that you need somene to take them and possibly pay the wages they are on at Valley Parade.
We dont need Doyle back and I've offered reasons why not, that situation will be dealt with by Bowyers, Juilan and Stefan with all options being acknowledged.
Letting Doyle go to Swindon on loan always had a risk to it , Im sure most fans on here and Bradford City fans in general would love to have your insite of how Doyle would perform at Swindon.
He is on a loan agreement for the season we don't even know if the agreement allows us to bring him back,although him not playing in the FA Cup suggests we have, you quote "Doyle needs to come back to at least show the footballing world Bradford City are no mugs" that is the last reason he should come back, bring him back as the club believe he can score goals for us or bring him back because we believe the way Doyle is scoring Swindon should pay more or all his wages
Unfortunatly us fans don't know the details of the season long loan, we might not be able to ask for more money, and we certainly can't argue that another club are prepared to oay more as he can't play elsewhere this season, so please offer a few facts to your logic.

Fact is Doyle is the leading goal scorer in the league and Swindon are top. We play in the same league and he's proven he can score in it so we need him because we need his goals.

Only an idiot would think otherwise. We ran the risk of Doyle making us look foolish by loaning him to another div 2 club and that's what is happening.

 

Why would he sulk? He's out of here in 6 months no matter what.

Reeves, Devine, Anderson, McCartan could all suck soon. It's football and part of Bowyer's job to manage the team.

I know if Vaughan is producing that Bowyer would rather bring on a proven div 2 goal scorer than Patrick don't you?
