An average performance, but a good result. What's not to like ?

That challenge from Taylor was an absolute disgrace.

Cooke was stupid, and not totally sure about the third red, but the linesman was convinced.

Good win against a footballing side with no real back bone.

I'd have to see it again but I thought it was a pretty nothing challenge. It wasn't dangerous, he got some of the ball and Law was going nowhere. Game's gone mad when an innocuous challenge like that gets anything other than a free kick.

 

Yep. Stupid challenge from Cooke. Bowyer was doing his absolute nut at him as he trudged off.

 

Agree, Cooke can have no complaints. Luckily for us he's only going to miss one game.

 

I’d like to see Otehs goal again, i’ve got a right view of it from right behind the goal. Sure he puts it in with his hand, so did everyone around us. Great ball in from Henley.

 

It was 2 minutes after the sending off, it gives the ref an easy decision to make.

How was it an average performance?

We played one of the best sides in the division.

Had Liverpool beat Man City Ike that it wouldn't be described as average.

 

I think Oteh is starting to show signs of the player that he could be. He's frustrating for sure, but there were a couple of moments today where I thought he played very intelligent passes and he was instrumental in the second goal. He's a rough diamond but I think there is a player in there.

 

That game summed up this division, we played better against Port Vale and came away with nothing. A good battling performance against one of the better teams in the division but not much between the teams bar the goals.

 

I may be wrong but I'm sure the rules changed

 

I'm not complacent, but can you tell me which team is demonstrably better than us and it'll be a surprise if we're above them?

Remember, we're doing this with a team which has six unavailable players, who could arguably improve the team

 

Exeter reminded me of us under McCall, great to watch but lack the killer instinct

Still, they're the best team I've seen, as they were last time we were in this league
