He's been out for 20 months.. if Bradford City are counting on him then we have massive problems.

Let him go out on loan and prove himself(fitness)

Just come out and say what it really is. Get Reeves to say what really has happened!

The quarterly Reeves up date from Bowyer isn't fooling anyone.

Reeves will be back at some point as his contract is up but his silence is deafening!

Playing him in 1 cup game is utter pointless as he will need a run of games and we can't afford to do that. That's the truth of the matter.

Completely different examples, the car is something that you own and an inanimate object where as Reeves is a human and has a right to keep his medical situation private if he so wishes.

Reeves will come back because his contract is up in the summer.. that's what fans will think if he doesn't come out and say anything about the situation. This is another reason why I would loan him out ASAP because the come back talk all seems to timely.

 

I can't help but think there's been something in his personal / family life which is at least a factor in him being out for so long. I understand people wanting to know what's going on but if it's something sensitive to do with his private life he might want to keep it just that

 

So you know better than our manager ?, at some point Jake will be given a run out, personally I would prefer it to be at Bradford City than at a club he is loaned out at.
For me put him on the bench ease him back with 20 minutes to go as we do with most long term injuries, possibly aiming at 70/90 minutes against Rochdale a week on Tuesday night.

 

Not about knowing better than our manager. I highly doubt he's had to handle a player that's been out for 20 months before!

20 mins here and there. Behave! We are wanting to go up and we can't afford to be players rehab. Losing 1-0 yeah let's bring on Reeves - makes no sense. Send him out on loan and he will hopefully get more game time.

 

Aim to get Dylan Connolly and throw Reeves into the package.

I can see both sides of this argument, but re loaning him would other teams be interested in him given he's been out so long? If not we may have no choice but to manage this ourselves

Reeves is a proven player at L1 level. We're in L2. There's no reason why he can't be eased back with us off the bench.
Bowyer has shown so far that he is not one to rush players back prematurely from injury layoffs. He likes to ease them back gradually. From his press comments he clearly rates the player and wants to get him back into first team contention eventually. I would trust him to know when to put Jake on the bench and give him minutes and how best to gradually increase his involvement.
Reeves could be a major asset to us in the second half of the season if his reintroduction is handled well. I'd much rather have him here, where Bowyer can be the judge of what's best, than loaned out to a club where he could be mishandled.

Once again you don't seem to understand the game.
Jake will not be selected to play anywhere like 90 minutes hence my 20 minute comment, it would not be the best option to bring him on when we were 1-0 down but why not I would think the fitness/ conditioning backroom staff wouldnt allow Jake on the bench unless they were sure he could do 20 minutes.
If we send him out on.loan the same would aply he would not be up for 90 minutes, with the situation as @wetherbywhaler says we need to be the ones that nurse him through his return to full fitness.
